LTTE kills six innocent civilians - Batticaloa
Six innocent civilians who attended a construction work in the Batticaloa area were gunned down by the LTTE terrorists at 9.15 p.m today, Sunday the 01st of April.
Eight workers, Ethnically Sinhalese, were forcibly taken out from the construction site by armed LTTE terrorists and they were shot in close rang, defence sources said.
Six Sinhalese workers killed on the spot and two who received severe gun shot injuries were rushed to the hospital in Batticaloa immediately.
The victims were working in a construction of housing scheme named "Village of Hope" which is being built for orphan children at Mailambaveli in Eravur.
The Eravur Police are conducting further investigations.
