there are so much free channels if you get a dish specially C band and if you can get a motorized dish you can get more channels than you'll ever be able to see,most of em are crapp though

I dont know much about them, but one friend of mine bought a dish for only 7500 LKR and he can watch more than 200 channels (but most of em are useless)

Ha Ha man you can change angles to the precision and automate it with the device too.
But when your dish get bigger you have better chance for lot of channels.

Yep Elakiri Live Radio with multiple bandwidth level broadcasting.

Ya there is some law like that. But normally you can receive signals from a Sat TV dish. They will not make problems.

Anyway, I have got the following, when it comes to Satellite and Pay TV........
* Dialog TV (Pay)
* Dish TV (Pay)
* C-Band 6ft. Rotable Dish / Eurostar Digital Reciever (FTA)

It's great to recieve international channels via Satellites.

You don't have to purchase a lisence to recieve free to air signals from Satellites (Birds).

But as someone else said, you can't produce and transmit signals from an equipment such as V SAT. It's illegal.

Talking about Satellites, ASIA SAT 3'S has the best English (FTA) channel line-up. And it owns a strong foot-print here in Sri Lanka. but it heavily depends on the size of your dish.

You can even recieve some local channels from the TV Lanka package which is hosted at ST1. It offers Rupavahini, ITN, EYE and Swarnavahini. There are no porn or adult channels available in Sri Lanka.

The Satellite HOT BIRD is not receivable in the southside of the country.

Let me know if you want to know anything else regarding these broadcasts.

I got dialog tv... i bght it after i dl and installed that sat tv sftware whch says we can wtch over internet...
it was a crap....
so thght f gng to DTV....
one f my frnds got a sat connection from a shop at pettah!!!
he got a huge dish and sooo many channels...
but it worked only for two mnths...
like CBN sat...... we got super 500 package but its qte useless coz HBO and Hallmark is not there.... but all the list is there....like 45 channels..
so gonna change the pkge to full frm nxt mnth...;)

It depends on your receiver capacity; I hope this is good idea, and it may help to gain knowledge about damn paid channels provides, since I have several arguments with PEO tv about their TV channels b'coz most of the channels with dirty indian's advertisements, my concern is as long as we are paying to watch the TV channels. There should not be any advertisements.

Yep, i agree with you, This is a mafia in asian countries, when i was in Aus, i remember, they never showed any advertiesments in cable tv channels. Why the fuck we pay for advertisements we never requested.
