no macho. IRC was there from the old days... before IM... yahoo msn stuff.. you have to give commands to do stuff.. which can be automated as well... and you need a chat client such as mIRC(for the windows guys...) or xchat.. or chatzilla(FF addon)...

you can even download files from IRC.. like movies, mp3s... etc

no its not that i wanna chat right now(i'm sleepy man!)... i jsut wanted to know if anyone here uses IRC... like everyone uses IM... but not everyone use IRC.. so thats why.
