This simple guide enables you to use your Nvidia GPU when playing movies which will reduce load on the CPU.

1.Install Coreavc 1.9.5 set it up so that it uses Cuda (start-programs-corecodec-Configure CoreAVC)
2.Install The KM player
3.go to options then preferences
4.go to external video decoder then click on external decoder search- Add external codec
5. go to where Coravc is installed and look for "CoreAVCDecoder.ax"

Should be noted that CUDA acceleration only works with NVIDIA 8 Series and up. Full list is at http://www.nvidia.com/object/cuda_learn_products.html

But, using the CoreAVC decoder should reduce CPU load even if you don't have CUDA.

Here's the relevant screens for Media Player Classic Home Cinema:

Disable the internal H264 and VC1 filters:

Add the CoreAVC decoder by pushing the Add button and selecting it from the list.
