I am having a problem with windows explorer in XP.... when i boot up the computer windows starts and suddenly the task bar and the entire desktop blinks and disappears... when i check the processes list.... it shows explorer.exe is not running..
I cleaned all spyware but still the problem is there.. any one to help? :) :)

get task manager and run a new task with following command c:\
it will get the explorer

and yes in task manager run NEW TASK and type explorer there you go
Format & Re-Install da OS..

See if the event log mentions any reason why this is happening.

Re-install windows... :D:D:D
Have two partitions...
1. For OS and Programs
2. For Data and the image you use to install (restore) windows with programmes installed - Acronis will be a good choice :D:D:D
If you feel like having a fresh installation... just waste some 10 or 15 mins and.... Tada.... :D:D:D
