Blue is one of the most anticipated movies of 2009. It’s directed by first-timer Anthony D’Souza and features an all star cast comprising of Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Kumar, Zayed Khan, Lara Dutta, Katrina Kaif and Rahul Dev as well as a special appearance by Kylie Minogue in the song Chiggy Wiggy. The story of the film revolves around an underwater treasure which is surrounded by sharks. Expect a lot of fights and massive explosions, and some amazing underwater scenes shot in the Bahamas. This is a movie definitely made to be enjoyed on the big screen. It’ll be released on 16th October 2009.

Music of Blue is composed by everyone’s favorite music director, A. R. Rehman. The only song I’ve listened to so far is Chiggy Wiggy from the video I posted a few days ago, and it’s a great song. It’s an AR Rehman album, so the chances of it being bad is pretty small. Go ahead download the songs, and ENJOY!!

Main Aur Mrs. Khanna is a romantic comedy directed by debutant Prem Soni and produced by Sohail Khan and Ronnie Screwvala. It will be released on 16 October (on Diwali) this year. The film’s cast includes Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Sohail Khan, Govinda, Bappi Lahiri and a cameo by Preity Zinta. The story is about extra marital relationships involving Salman (Mr Sameer Khanna), Kareena (Mrs. Raina Khanna) and Sohail’s characters, where Govinda plays the role of Salman’s friend who tries to patch things up between them. Salman and Sohail provided some of the funniest movie moments in Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya? back in 2005, I hope they do it again in this movie. There were also rumors that Shahrukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra were going to have special appearances too but it seems like that didn’t work out. Oh well, no big deal as long as Mrs Khanna turns out a great movie.

Music of MAMK is directed by Sajid Wajid. I honestly haven’t had a chance to listen to the songs yet. I hope they’re great. Sajid and Wajid have composed some amazing songs in the past, let’s hope they’ve done it again. I would love to know what you think of the songs. Love Aaj Kal is recently released film directed by Imtiaz Ali (who previously brought us Jab We Met) and stars Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, Rishi Kapoor, Rahul Khanna and the new comer Giselle Monteiro. I personally haven’t had the pleasure of watching this movie even though I am a big fan of both Saif and Deepika. It has been a superhit and very well received by fans.
The music director of Love Aaj Kal is Pritam and the lyrics are written by Irshad Kamil. I’ve listened to all the songs only once so far, and based on that I think, except of Aahun Aahun and Yeh Dooriyan which are very good songs, the rest of the tracks are just above average. I may like them better later but currently I rate this album 3.5/5! Do tell me how you like them by leaving a comment below

Wake Up Sid is a film from Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions which is directed by Ayan Mukerji. The ever popular Ranbir Kapoor stars as the main character, Sid (Sidharth Mehra), a happy-go-lucky guy who’s just finished college but doesn’t have any plans. All he wants to do is hang out with his friends, have fun and be lazy. Other cast of the film include Konkona Sen Sharma, Anupam Kher, Supriya Pathak and Rahul Khanna. I’m not a fan of Ranbir yet. I think he has a lot to learn as an actor. The reason he constantly gets roles in big budget movies has very little to do with his acting skills. Music of Wake Up Sid is composed by Shankar-Eshaan-Loy with lyrics from Javed Akhtar. I personally think the songs are pretty good. I specially like Kya Karoon, Aaj Kal Zindagi and Wake Up Sid. I think the trio composers have done a great job as usual. I hope you like them too

Fox is Zee Motion Pictures’ first production and it is directed by actor-writer-director Deepak Tijori. It stars Arjun Rampal, Sunny Deol, Sagarika Ghatge, Udita Goswami and Vipul Gupta. In this thriller, Arjun Rampal plays the role of a very skilled criminal lawyer (Arjun Kapoor) who’s been saving criminals from the law, while Sunny Deol plays the role of a police officer (Yashwant Deshmukh) who fights criminals. But the two are brought together when Arjun’s life is targeted by an unknown enemy. The release date is September 4.
Music of Fox is composed by Monty Sharma. I did listen to the songs and I honestly didn’t like them. For me the songs are just too ordinary and plain. But I hope our tastes are different and hope that you like them

Aao Wish Karein is a Bollywood movie directed by Glenn Baretto and stars Aftab Shivdasani, Aamna Shariff, Johny Lever and Rati Agnihotri (couldn’t find names of the child actors). Aftab has also written and produced this movie which is about a kid named Mickey who is saddened and heart-broken when he finds out that he’s adopted and that the beautiful girl (Mitika) he loves so much only thinks of him as a kid. He wishes he to grow big. The next morning he wakes up to see his wish has come true and he’s grown into an adult. Then good things start to happen and his relationship with Mitika develops, but not all things go well. Aao Wish Karein marks the second movie for both director Glen Baretto (first was Jaane Hoga Kya, also starring Aftab) and Aamna Shariff (first was Aloo Chaat, also with Aftab). It will be released on November 13, 2009.

Music of Aao Wish Karein is composed by Xulfi, Ankur Tewari and Mikey Mccleary. There are a couple of pretty good songs in this album, in particular Sabse Peeche Hum Khade, but nothing chart buster. Overall, I would rate it 3/5. Enjoy!

Aladin is an upcoming (30 October, 2009) Bollywood movie directed by Sujoy Ghosh with a cast line-up consisting of Amitabh Bachchan, Ritesh Deshmukh, Sanjay Dutt, Jacqueline Fernandez, Juhi Chawla, Saahil Khan and Sameera Reddy in important roles. Big B plays the role of Genie who comes out of the lamp Aladin (Ritesh) receives for his birthday. Aladin who’s been made fun of his whole life because of his name, finally gets his Genie. But problems arrive in the form of Ring Master (Sanjay Dutt), the ex-genie. Sri Lankan beauty queen and contestant in Miss Universe 2006, Jacqueline Fernandez makes her acting debut in this film. The visual effects of Aladin is pretty awesome. Check out the trailer below. My personal favorite character from this movie is Ring Master. Definitely one of the Hindi movies I’m looking forward to the most.


Music of Aladin is scored by Vishal-Shekhar. These two have made a habit of not disappointing. They’ve been coming up with some of the most catchy tunes in the past few years, and they have done it again with Aladin. Though I do feel like I’ve heard a song pretty similar to Ore Saawriya before. Anyway, Aladin’s songs are pretty good. I just watched the video for Giri Giri which is sung Sanju Bhai himself on Youtube, and I loved it.
