Asus has released their P5K3/P5K series motherboards which have outstanding features for the user in terms of overclocking and performance. With technologies like the ASUS exclusive Super Memspeed Technology, AI-Gear2 and AI Slot Detector, they are able to provide users with easy overclocking choices to break through the overclocking limit, assist in proper installation for PCIe/PCI Devices, and provide better energy savings.
Super Memspeed Technology is a technology that provides outstanding performance regardless of different DRAM specifications and overclocking margins. This is done by breaking through current FSB and DRAM ratio proportions with full support of native DDR3 1333 to match CAS Latency from 7 to 10. With native DDR3 1333 support, these motherboards already have an edge over other technologies that run at reduced frequencies of DDR3 1066 or require overclocking to even reach DDR3 1333. With better overclocking options, the P5K3 Deluxe is thus able to overclock up to 2032MHz for DDR3 memory – an enhancement of up to 90.6%, while the P5K Deluxe is able to reach 1400MHz for DDR2 memory.
