It is not fiction, but it is real and happening now - The father-in-law General Sarath Fonseka, a former Sri Lanka’s army commander abused his authority and position to assign four Sri Lankan Army commandos to Olkhahoma, in USA, to provide protection and security to Danuna Tilakaratne, his son-in-law – the arms dealer. The Sri Lankan Army Commandos were dispatched to Oklahoma, USA in April this year and Army Commandos still remain in the US soil and they continues to give security and protection to Danuna Tilakaratne .
The Asian Tribune learns that the Sri Lanka Army has so far spent a huge amount of money in the security project and continues to cough up more money up to date.
The Asian Tribune further learns that Danuna Tilakaratne is living in a house at 1745 Gold Drive, Edmond, Oklahoma 73003, USA.
The four special Army Commandos are provided with a special vehicle in Olkahoma by the Sri Lanka Army to move around unnoticed wherever Danuna Tilakaratne visits.
Furthermore, Asian Tribune was told that those four Army commandos are provided with a special apartment to discreetly watch the residence of Danuna Tilakaratne.

It is not fiction, but it is real and happening now - The father-in-law General Sarath Fonseka, a former Sri Lanka’s army commander abused his authority and position to assign four Sri Lankan Army commandos to Olkhahoma, in USA, to provide protection and security to Danuna Tilakaratne, his son-in-law – the arms dealer. The Sri Lankan Army Commandos were dispatched to Oklahoma, USA in April this year and Army Commandos still remain in the US soil and they continues to give security and protection to Danuna Tilakaratne .
The Asian Tribune learns that the Sri Lanka Army has so far spent a huge amount of money in the security project and continues to cough up more money up to date.
The Asian Tribune further learns that Danuna Tilakaratne is living in a house at 1745 Gold Drive, Edmond, Oklahoma 73003, USA.
The four special Army Commandos are provided with a special vehicle in Olkahoma by the Sri Lanka Army to move around unnoticed wherever Danuna Tilakaratne visits.
Furthermore, Asian Tribune was told that those four Army commandos are provided with a special apartment to discreetly watch the residence of Danuna Tilakaratne.
Recently a paparazzi who went to take candid shots of the inmates and the house of Danuna Tilakaratne was roughed up by these Army commandos.
This incident spilt the beans of the presence of the special Sri Lankan Army commandos giving protection to a H1B visa holder (?) in USA.
It is alleged that the former commander of Sri Lanka Army, General Sarath Fonseka has clearly abused his authority to bestow favors and privileges to his son-in-law in Olkohama by assigning Sri Lankan Army Commandos to provide security.
It is leant that, on this security arrangements alone, Sri Lanka Army has so far spent more than LKR 180 million of the tax payers money.

It is not fiction, but it is real and happening now - The father-in-law General Sarath Fonseka, a former Sri Lanka’s army commander abused his authority and position to assign four Sri Lankan Army commandos to Olkhahoma, in USA, to provide protection and security to Danuna Tilakaratne, his son-in-law – the arms dealer. The Sri Lankan Army Commandos were dispatched to Oklahoma, USA in April this year and Army Commandos still remain in the US soil and they continues to give security and protection to Danuna Tilakaratne .
The Asian Tribune learns that the Sri Lanka Army has so far spent a huge amount of money in the security project and continues to cough up more money up to date.
The Asian Tribune further learns that Danuna Tilakaratne is living in a house at 1745 Gold Drive, Edmond, Oklahoma 73003, USA.
The four special Army Commandos are provided with a special vehicle in Olkahoma by the Sri Lanka Army to move around unnoticed wherever Danuna Tilakaratne visits.
Furthermore, Asian Tribune was told that those four Army commandos are provided with a special apartment to discreetly watch the residence of Danuna Tilakaratne.
Recently a paparazzi who went to take candid shots of the inmates and the house of Danuna Tilakaratne was roughed up by these Army commandos.
This incident spilt the beans of the presence of the special Sri Lankan Army commandos giving protection to a H1B visa holder (?) in USA.
It is alleged that the former commander of Sri Lanka Army, General Sarath Fonseka has clearly abused his authority to bestow favors and privileges to his son-in-law in Olkohama by assigning Sri Lankan Army Commandos to provide security.

Before writing anything else I want 2 say that I stand by my decision of voting MR in this election since I personally feel his economic policy is far better than what General will be forced to follow of UNP which is about promoting resources to be exported without value addition. If anyone doesn't know, developing countries do need to work on the potentials to alleviate the poverty & carry on the developing process. Also so far the economic policy of UNP has been rejected four big times by the so called general community which the General feel that so called community believe that it is the best & simply I on't understand why he say so. Anyhow I fully respect him as a general & stand by against if any relaxing of his security & also stand by his motto of eradicating corruption. But honestly if he gonna do so, he will have to be away from UNP as UNP do have loads of corrupted minds as well as some real good brains :) Simply saying General needs to know what is economics about & how it affect the development of the country since UNP policy widen the regional disparity as well. UNP die hard fans are saying that General should win & he is the best when they were the people who blamed & do all those shitty stuff & publicly said that he is a weak & unsuitable general. It is so frustrating to see that a great national hero been so greedy over the power & been allured by it. If it wasn't for MR, there won't be a SF. Simple fact is that. Also the truth about MR is that even with all the corruptions which was more evident during past governments, he has done something for the long term development of the country. People tend to look things little short distance & that is exactly why we haven't developed yet, but where as countries like Singapore whom took advices from us are far ahead of us. If you all are real lovers of the country, take this golden opportunity where we have our freedom & use it for the disenchantment of poverty. COLOMBO (AFP) – Sri Lankan troops shot dead surrendering Tamil Tiger leaders on the orders of the defence secretary, the former army chief who is now running for president said on Sunday.
General Sarath Fonseka said Gotabhaya Rajapakse -- the brother of the current president -- instructed field commanders not to take prisoners in the days before the Tamil Tiger separatists were defeated in May.
"Gotabhaya Rajapakse spoke directly with (commander) Shavendra Silva and told him not to accommodate any surrendering LTTE leaders and that they must all be killed," Fonseka told reporters at a meeting of opposition parties.:frown::frown::frown::frown::no::no:
Fonseka said he was away in China and was unaware that Rajapakse was giving direct orders to officers in the field during the final stages of battle against the Tigers, officially known as the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam.
He said he only learnt after the war that senior Tiger rebels had used foreign mediators to organise a plan in which they would carry white flags and give themselves up.
Fonseka led the army's successful offensive to finally crush the LTTE and end the island's decades-long ethnic conflict, but he later fell out with President Mahinda Rajapakse and the defence secretary.
He resigned last month, accusing the government of sidelining him, and is now attempting to unseat President Rajapakse in elections on January 26.
Sri Lankan authorities have resisted international calls for a war crimes investigation amid allegations by the United Nations that more than 7,000 civilians were killed during the first four months of this year alone.
Military spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara declined to respond to Fonseka's remarks.
"This is a comment given by General Fonseka and he will come out with many more," Nanayakkara said. "We will not comment on what he says."
The government has previously denied ordering troops to kill Tamil Tiger political wing leader B. Nadesan, senior rebel S. Puleedevan and another Tiger official and their families.
The military claimed victory over the LTTE on May 18 after wiping out the leadership of the once-powerful movement, which began its armed struggle for an independent Tamil homeland in 1972.
Velupillai Prabhakaran, the group's founder, was killed in the fighting and his body shown on national television.
During the war's finale, the United States and other Western nations voiced alarm at Sri Lanka's treatment of non-combatants, along with its internment afterwards of up to 300,000 Tamil civilians.
Sri Lanka has said it is now allowing the civilians to leave state-run camps, although human rights groups say that many have nowhere to go with their villages destroyed in the fighting.
When launching his election campaign, Fonseka said he was moving into politics because corruption was preventing Sri Lankans from benefiting from the success that military forces had secured under his command.
He also surprised critics by agreeing to a possible war crimes investigation.

'Defence secretary ordered war crimes' say Fonseka

Main opposition presidential candidate has accused the brother of the country’s president of ordering war crimes. Government says that the General boasted in July about the killing of surrendered leaders. The Human Rights ministry says the general is contradicting his own statement.
General Sarath Fonseka alleges that Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, who’s Sri Lanka’s defence secretary, ordered that all the Tamil Tiger rebel leaders be killed and not allowed to surrender at the time the civl war ended in May.

General Fonseka told the media on Sunday, that the defence secretary, Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, sent a message to senior Tamil Tiger leaders that they should walk towards the military carrying white flags.

But, he says, Mr Rajapaksa had instructed the firld commanders to not to accommodate this, ordering instead that – quote – “they must all be killed”.

"I did not know anything about the surrender agreement. Puleethevan and Nadesan had negotiated to surrender with the defence secretary and Basil Rajapakse through Norwegians", said General Fonseka.

"None of them told me about this. I only learnt later from a journalist".
The General revealed at a press conference on Sunday.

Fonseka said in July

Reports from the end of the war say a group of rebel leaders were shot dead by the army while surrendering, even after getting assurances that their surrender arrangements made through diplomats and government politicians.

A senior government official, Rajiva Wijesinha, told the BBC that any such allegations should be looked into.

But, he said, only in July there was a report of General Fonseka himself boasting that “we destroyed anyone connected with the Tamil Tigers”.

That such decisions were made by those on the battlefront.

It is not fiction, but it is real and happening now - The father-in-law General Sarath Fonseka, a former Sri Lanka’s army commander abused his authority and position to assign four Sri Lankan Army commandos to Olkhahoma, in USA, to provide protection and security to Danuna Tilakaratne, his son-in-law – the arms dealer. The Sri Lankan Army Commandos were dispatched to Oklahoma, USA in April this year and Army Commandos still remain in the US soil and they continues to give security and protection to Danuna Tilakaratne .
The Asian Tribune learns that the Sri Lanka Army has so far spent a huge amount of money in the security project and continues to cough up more money up to date.
The Asian Tribune further learns that Danuna Tilakaratne is living in a house at 1745 Gold Drive, Edmond, Oklahoma 73003, USA.
The four special Army Commandos are provided with a special vehicle in Olkahoma by the Sri Lanka Army to move around unnoticed wherever Danuna Tilakaratne visits.
Furthermore, Asian Tribune was told that those four Army commandos are provided with a special apartment to discreetly watch the residence of Danuna Tilakaratne.
Recently a paparazzi who went to take candid shots of the inmates and the house of Danuna Tilakaratne was roughed up by these Army commandos.
This incident spilt the beans of the presence of the special Sri Lankan Army commandos giving protection to a H1B visa holder (?) in USA.
It is alleged that the former commander of Sri Lanka Army, General Sarath Fonseka has clearly abused his authority to bestow favors and privileges to his son-in-law in Olkohama by assigning Sri Lankan Army Commandos to provide security.
