A six-year-old girl, Pavithra, who was at Kalubowila Hospital with her mother, who had been seriously injured in Monday’s bomb blast at Ratmalana. Pavithra had been inquiring after her two brothers who were with her at the time of the explosion.

It has now been found that one of her brothers, Kushan Rajakaruna had died on admission to Panadura Hospital, while the other, Dilan Rajakaruna, is receiving treatment at the same hospital. Pavithra’s mother, who was also seriously injured, survived.
