I am using an mdf file .
I found out that the problem is due to a corrupt file . No way out for me except to download the whole game again !! 3.6 GB of download - wasted !!! :(

For gods sake thats a vp6 movie file!!!,who watches movies in carbon??!!!!
copy all the files except that into HDD,then make a new text document, rename it to that movie file, replace it.(I dont care if u rename a 1GB file just rename, replace)then run the setup again. If ur MDF asks for a DVD ROM make an ISO or NRG from the new compile and mount it and run.

Unfortunately .. No .
copy all the files except that into HDD
I wish I could do that .... when I try to extract the compressed file ( which also contains the *.vp6 file )... it gives a CRC error , and nothing gets copied :(
If there was a way to extract the remaining files , then I can try out what you said .
Try to repair compressed file using some Zip Recovery tool.

Then create dummy files for each of those movie files :D
