How to get out of the Internet vicious cycle.

Forums and Internet IRC chats are commonly known to have a vicious cycle. The cycle is as;

Internet-----> Online People---> Find it better than your lonely real world------> waste time and money--------> life is ruined -------> Back to step 3.... and the cycle continues. :D

so, I guess as per the PM's I got, you guys & girl are stuck in this cycle.. and you all find it hard to escape from it. ??

The only advice I can give you on this is;

DO not WASTE time on internet. SPEND it

Now, Shaggy took a easy path out of my suggestions in his 21000 thread. But bro, read your reply again and see what you have told me. You just implored your self of EXACTLY what I said about you. Lonely. Time wasting. Useless Internet Jerk. And I must not let pass you the comment of "YOU HAVE A BIG EGO" which is utterly useless. :lol:

And bro, if you have sent 21K replies in 11 months.. that's at a rate of 95 replies per day on a 20 working day month. :shocked: that into 4 minutes per message / and browsing the forum means you have wasted 47 SOLID working hours per month. The people who are constantly logged into the internet and keep on posting bullcrap on forums are nothing by egoistic upright monkeys. And simply jerks who has no life outside a computer. Did you ever stopped for a moment and thought about "WHY" you are here? why are you so "HOOKED" into this forum?

Simple. you are trying to get away from a harsh realities of "real" life. Why do you try to be a MACHO man in the forum ? Simple. cause you are skimpy "un-noticeable" character in real life. You just want to impose your Macho mania attitude on others and get a "kick" out of it :yes: Why do you Send your poems to this forum?, but why can't you just send it to the papers of your local area?. why here? Simple. Because no one in reality simply appreciate you.

I was going through this forum and came upone this "MAGIC CHAP" (dude. just for you = I have met David Copperfield for real :yes: ) and did you guys ever noticed that though he's a loved and a respected character in this group, he never over does him self in posting replies, or trying to out do another poster? WHY? simple. because he is loved and cherished by people other than in virtual reality. :D

As per Admins of a forum, you have a great responsibility to make sure that your users do not waste their time on the internet. Although you can argue on the judgment point that "What they do is of no business to me", yet, you should have the MORAL responsibility to make sure your users are actively "Spending" their time on your forum than to "waste" it.

Suggestion for Admins

Although I am not fammilier in this part of the world. Back at my place, forum admins are usually loved characters in the real world, who organize charities, parties, etc etc. We usually collect about 100 pounds a month :D

So. why not you Admins, take charge? create a bank account, ask your members to chip in atleast 100 bux per month. And do some community project. Last month My fa-in-law gave a lunch for some war effected children at a place called "Ratmalana" which costed him around 5000/- bux.. but it was really worth it :yes: Why don't you guys organize something like that? TO GET your users out of their internet world and meet up for real ?

Or why don't you guys organize a party? a Bash ? for the guys and the girls? (heck. back there we have a girl name "devilwoman" who really rides a harly to work:yes: ..she usually organized strip parties :D :D .) though it may be a bit Anti-cultural of SL, why not do something moderate each month?

Admins of a Forums are NOT SUPPOSE to be SITTING DUCKS :yes:


And for users... how do you get out of it?


1. MAKE some real life friends. :D

2. Every time you feel like logging into the forum.. forget it, go out and have a smoke. or (for all your MAN bodies but women genes - nonsmokers) go out and have a coffee. And for girls... er. DUH ! . I duuno. apply lipstick or call your guy for some phone sex or something..

so, I guess as per the PM's I got, you guys & girl are stuck in this cycle.. and you all find it hard to escape from it. ??

The only advice I can give you on this is;

DO not WASTE time on internet. SPEND it

You just want to impose your Macho mania attitude on others and get a "kick" out of it :yes: Why do you Send your poems to this forum?, but why can't you just send it to the papers of your local area?. why here? Simple. Because no one in reality simply appreciate you.

I was going through this forum and came upone this "MAGIC CHAP" (dude. just for you = I have met David Copperfield for real :yes: ) and did you guys ever noticed that though he's a loved and a respected character in this group, he never over does him self in posting replies, or trying to out do another poster? WHY? simple. because he is loved and cherished by people other than in virtual reality. :D

As per Admins of a forum, you have a great responsibility to make sure that your users do not waste their time on the internet. Although you can argue on the judgment point that "What they do is of no business to me", yet, you should have the MORAL responsibility to make sure your users are actively "Spending" their time on your forum than to "waste" it.

Suggestion for Admins

Although I am not fammilier in this part of the world. Back at my place, forum admins are usually loved characters in the real world, who organize charities, parties, etc etc. We usually collect about 100 pounds a month :D

So. why not you Admins, take charge? create a bank account, ask your members to chip in atleast 100 bux per month. And do some community project. Last month My fa-in-law gave a lunch for some war effected children at a place called "Ratmalana" which costed him around 5000/- bux.. but it was really worth it :yes: Why don't you guys organize something like that? TO GET your users out of their internet world and meet up for real ?

Or why don't you guys organize a party? a Bash ? for the guys and the girls? (heck. back there we have a girl name "devilwoman" who really rides a harly to work:yes: ..she usually organized strip parties :D :D .) though it may be a bit Anti-cultural of SL, why not do something moderate each month?

Admins of a Forums are NOT SUPPOSE to be SITTING DUCKS :yes:


And for users... how do you get out of it?


1. MAKE some real life friends. :D

2. Every time you feel like logging into the forum.. forget it, go out and have a smoke. or (for all your MAN bodies but women genes - nonsmokers) go out and have a coffee. And for girls... er. DUH ! . I duuno. apply lipstick or call your guy for some phone sex or something..

I know, I posted 1000 posts in three days, but now I won’t be able to do that, coz that was when I was free from my studies and all the other works, but still, I think im little managed on my time so I get time to be with EK and post in it, n I will keep doin it as long as I can. So DO u think for me its worth posting EK or not, is it a waste of time for me? I don’t think so. Coz I’ve leanrnt a lot and gained a lot….

One more thing, I’ve come across so many online communities of Maldives…. U better check it out, its threads are of all nasty stuff, filthy talks and cannot be viewable in front of our parents. Forums and Internet IRC chats are commonly known to have a vicious cycle. The cycle is as;

Internet-----> Online People---> Find it better than your lonely real world------> waste time and money--------> life is ruined -------> Back to step 3.... and the cycle continues. :D

so, I guess as per the PM's I got, you guys & girl are stuck in this cycle.. and you all find it hard to escape from it. ??

The only advice I can give you on this is;

You just want to impose your Macho mania attitude on others and get a "kick" out of it :yes: Why do you Send your poems to this forum?, but why can't you just send it to the papers of your local area?. why here? Simple. Because no one in reality simply appreciate you.

I was going through this forum and came upone this "MAGIC CHAP" (dude. just for you = I have met David Copperfield for real :yes: ) and did you guys ever noticed that though he's a loved and a respected character in this group, he never over does him self in posting replies, or trying to out do another poster? WHY? simple. because he is loved and cherished by people other than in virtual reality. :D

As per Admins of a forum, you have a great responsibility to make sure that your users do not waste their time on the internet. Although you can argue on the judgment point that "What they do is of no business to me", yet, you should have the MORAL responsibility to make sure your users are actively "Spending" their time on your forum than to "waste" it.

Suggestion for Admins

Although I am not fammilier in this part of the world. Back at my place, forum admins are usually loved characters in the real world, who organize charities, parties, etc etc. We usually collect about 100 pounds a month :D

So. why not you Admins, take charge? create a bank account, ask your members to chip in atleast 100 bux per month. And do some community project. Last month My fa-in-law gave a lunch for some war effected children at a place called "Ratmalana" which costed him around 5000/- bux.. but it was really worth it :yes: Why don't you guys organize something like that? TO GET your users out of their internet world and meet up for real ?

Or why don't you guys organize a party? a Bash ? for the guys and the girls? (heck. back there we have a girl name "devilwoman" who really rides a harly to work:yes: ..she usually organized strip parties :D :D .) though it may be a bit Anti-cultural of SL, why not do something moderate each month?

Admins of a Forums are NOT SUPPOSE to be SITTING DUCKS :yes:


And for users... how do you get out of it?


1. MAKE some real life friends. :D

2. Every time you feel like logging into the forum.. forget it, go out and have a smoke. or (for all your MAN bodies but women genes - nonsmokers) go out and have a coffee. And for girls... er. DUH ! . I duuno. apply lipstick or call your guy for some phone sex or something..

3. Stick to a RULE.

ONE POST PER THREAD. no matter how damn interesting the thread is. if you have stated your reply. DO NOT REPLY again. that way, you will cut down the time your waste.

4. Keep your self out of the forum for one day. see if you can do it. If you did. then activily engage in the forum on the next day :D . and do not log in for two days after.

see if you can work that up to a week. Will do a great Help

5. Remove your self from the form :cool:

For your guys and Girl you PM'ed me. I have only one advice for you. BE REAL

One said, that he can't express his thought because problems might come. :D. dude.. just type "forums" on google and see how many BIGGER and ACTIVE forum there in this world. I was gonna come and reply him, but I don't think it's needed anymore. The only thing I can add is...Wizkido, you have no idea about people's personal lives to comment on them saying no one appreciates them in real life. May be it applies to you, as far as I concern, it doesn't apply to me or the people I have talked to in here. Well, obviously then you probably have some time management issues, because more than half of EK members are still schooling, including myself. From 6-7th grades to Masters/Phd. students are in here and none of us are messing up any work. It applies to you as an individual not EK as a whole. So when you start over simplifying your theories, it becomes invalid, which obviously happened to wizkido also. Be a man with pride and admit it, it's your fault not EK's. Usually it is very easy to find somene to blame than admitting your own faults.

Why I surf internet? I am a Post-Graduate trainee in Clinical Medicine. The subject is evolving fast and I need to be updated. When I am tired i join in the fun. When I am in the mood I write poetry and prose and let people enjoy them. But I always try to make the posts meaningful if it is a long one. Other wise it will be a "Thank you" or a similar post.

I always opposed to the idea of forum becoming like a chat room and I was bashed by most of the people around. And I still hold on to the idea that 90% of replies to a thread is utter rubbush and it never has improed from it.

So you would ask why we should care about your ideas. Yes, good question. I am older than most of you, but too young to forget things (I am 30), and I am a very successful professional and successful person (other than for my weight and bad mouth). So I am not fabricating things but telling what I have been through.

Wizkido is absolutely correct except than his foul language and comments about the Admins. Admins are not sitting ducks. When people like you make such threads they are the one's flying hgh because their site occupies a larger chunk of server time, so becoming a popular site.

So if you want to break the vicious cycle cut that cintroversial issues and just passively reply.

I always opposed to the idea of forum becoming like a chat room and I was bashed by most of the people around. And I still hold on to the idea that 90% of replies to a thread is utter rubbush and it never has improed from it.

Wizkido is absolutely correct except than his foul language and comments about the Admins. Admins are not sitting ducks. When people like you make such threads they are the one's flying hgh because their site occupies a larger chunk of server time, so becoming a popular site.

So if you want to break the vicious cycle cut that cintroversial issues and just passively reply.

Suggestion for Admins

Although I am not fammilier in this part of the world. Back at my place, forum admins are usually loved characters in the real world, who organize charities, parties, etc etc. We usually collect about 100 pounds a month :D

So. why not you Admins, take charge? create a bank account, ask your members to chip in atleast 100 bux per month. And do some community project. Last month My fa-in-law gave a lunch for some war effected children at a place called "Ratmalana" which costed him around 5000/- bux.. but it was really worth it :yes: Why don't you guys organize something like that? TO GET your users out of their internet world and meet up for real ?

Or why don't you guys organize a party? a Bash ? for the guys and the girls? (heck. back there we have a girl name "devilwoman" who really rides a harly to work:yes: ..she usually organized strip parties :D :D .) though it may be a bit Anti-cultural of SL, why not do something moderate each month?

so why cant we just be proactive and take the good points on board than being reactive and slanderring each other?
