Effective Monday July 9, 2007, AMD will slash prices of its Athlon 64 X2 dual core processors. The top-of-the-line Athlon 64 X2 6000+ now costs $178 in 1000-unit tray quantities. U will c the reason when phenom comes out with backward compatibility for AM2.
Anyway while E6400 @ 183 USD this is a good thing to get.

However, July 29th or so is the day huge Intel price cuts coming on. The Q6600 will go for US$266. It's already at US$300 at several stores as I read.
