The Teacher( monk) writes to his pupil(monk) about....(sinhala hodiya or something else)...............
Uyanu nathiwela bohokal dan apita
Kayanu nathiwechchi hal akuru dolhata
Miyanu sidda wei sihi nokaloth apita
Layanu langa akuru ispili ewan mata
We've lost "uyanna" (The letter u)
"Kayanna" was also lost (the letter Ka)
"Miyanna" (the letter mi) will happen if u just do not care..
Please send us the ispilla of the letter next to " La"
The last stanza of the reply verse is (the topic I've used..)
"satharakura ewan mama demi ispilla"
"uyanu" nathiwela bohokal means we could't cook for a long time..
"kayanu' nathiwechchi halakuru dolahata meanas no food for the twelve monks
"miyanu ' siddawei means We will have to die
"layanu' langa akuru ispili ewan mata ....in sinhala alphabat the letter next to "la' is "va' its ispili means "wee' that means send us some rice.......
