Muslim extremists for Digavapiya Land grab

JHU raised concerned with senior Government official including President H.E. Mahinda Rajapakse about the indiscriminate forcible land grab by Muslim extremists in the East led by powerful Muslim politicians in the sacred Digavapiya Raja Maha Temple complex.

The land grab forcibly had taken place during the past few weeks in the pretext of building Tsunami housing for the needy.

JHU MP Ven. Akmeemana Dayarathana Thero visited Digavapiya area yesterday to get first hand information. A protest was also underway by JHU monks of the area demanding the Government immediately interven to stop Muslim thugs from bulldozing the most historical Temple in the East. JHU met Minister Ferial Ashroff and demanded that she intervene immediately to stop these unruly elements from destroying historical Buddhist sites. President Rajapakse has promised to the JHU that he would take meaningful actions to stop this land grab and will punish the perpetrators of this crime.

Sri Lanka has one of the best legal systems in asia and sometimes even better than some developed nations. So issues like this should not be 'Muslims dis that, 'Tamils did this' or 'Sinhalese did that'. Regardless of what race or religion the wrong doers are, you take them to courts and subject them to the law of the country like proven in this case as mentioned above by gazaly (well done macho). Comments like 'Muslim extremists for Digavapiya Land grab (http://www.elakiri.com/forum/showthread.php?p=2491890#post2491890)' , 'Kuragala Muslim Aggression (http://www.elakiri.com/forum/showthread.php?t=93753)' will only make things worse. Think and write inteligently.. those who dont are doing so either in ignorance or pure hatred and mischief. I hope its the former.
