Have you ever encountered this problem that suddenly the option for Hibernate disappears... I did... After I ran the Disk Cleanup utility (with Hibernation file cleaner option)... it said "Removing this file will disable hibernation." and I just clicked ok... Guess what no where to enable it... If you ever encounter this problem, just run the command prompt as administrator and type "powercfg /hibernate on" ... Tht's how to enable hibernation in Vista whereas there was a nice menu built for it in XP...
