Need a Help

Guys I am trying to learn graphics these days. I have mastered many languages up to now, but nothing on graphics other than Photoshop, Fireworks and a little bit of Flash. So I decided to learn 3D Studio Max. I think we have it in the next semester at the uni also.
So if you guys know any good E-Books and Tutorials pls give me a link. I tried googling, but didn't come up with anything good. Just keep in mind that I know absolutely nothing on 3D Max, so the tutorial should be written from the rock bottom level. Thanks. :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Macho thank you very much for the E-Book. But what i need is 3D studio max tutorial. Not Adobe CS3 training pack. Thanks anyway.

This seems to be ok. But a little prob is there. I use Autodesk 3ds Max 9 which is the latest version, and this has 3ds Max 3.1 tutorial. Wont it be a problem?
