Download programs that make browsing faster:

* Loband.org is a browser inside of a browser that loads web pages without the images.
* Opera is a good internet browser for slower speeds. You can set an option to not load images.
* If you are using Internet Explorer or Firefox, download Google Web Accelerator. It is meant to speed up broadband connections.
* If you are using Firefox, download the Fasterfox extension and Firetune.

download Fasterfox (http://fasterfox.mozdev.org/)

download Google Web Accelerator (http://webaccelerator.google.com/)

download Firetune (http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Browser-Tweak/FireTune.shtml)

Firefox nam mekath karanna

1. Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit enter. Scroll down and look for the following entries:

2. Alter the entries as follows:

Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true"
Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true"

set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once.

3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it recieves.

he he. . Opera is still faster in rendering pages.
Some says Safari is faster, I tested and didn't find any difference. So I just dumped that one.

Actually I don't feel a difference between Opera and Firefox when loading a page for the first time. But Opera's caching seems to be much more aggressive and I can move forward and backward in Opera with virtually zero delay. Firefox seems to check for updates even when only the old page is only seconds old.

The problems with Safari is too much to call it usable, even if it was 10 times faster than other browsers.

If you like to have the safari speed with usability, you will need to use konqueror. Apple is a pain in the a** for open source, they used the KHTML code to develop safari but intentionally delayed porting the changes back to KHTML.:growl:

I've also experienced that that caching is better in opera. Opera is better in rendering standards compliant webpages. It's known to be the first to pass the acid2 test correctly. Konqueror did before, but it was not complete.
http://www.webstandards.org/action/acid2/
http://www.howtocreate.co.uk/acid/

Safari also pass the acid2 test, it's just because konqueror passed before and safari inherited all the code.
