It’s a rough week here at iFmagazine. Within the first minute I found myself laughing,The Shield DVD Box Set (http://www.dvdprostore.com/products/The-Shield-Seasons-1-7-DVD-Boxset-DVD-9-dvdprostore-1906.html) and I mean that in a good way. Sure, the show was loaded with campTV devices. There’s your ever present odd couple with Dr. Temperance “Bones DVD Box Set (http://www.dvdprostore.com/products/Bones-Seasons-1-4-DVD-Boxset-dvdprostore-1678.html)” Brennan (Emily Deschanel) as the brains and Special Agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz) as the brawn. And yeah, Criminal Minds DVD Box Set (http://www.dvdprostore.com/products/Criminal-Minds-Seasons-1-4-DVD-Boxset-dvdprostore-1777.html)it was your typical fish out of water story as they travel to London to give a presentation and end up solving two separate murders. Of course, Bones Seasons 1-4 DVD Boxset (http://www.dvdprostore.com/products/Bones-Seasons-1-4-DVD-Boxset-dvdprostore-1678.html)while in London,Bones 1-4 DVD Boxset (http://www.dvdprostore.com/products/Bones-Seasons-1-4-DVD-Boxset-dvdprostore-1678.html) they team up with their British crime-solving counterparts.
But still, I laughed.Bones Seasons 1-4 DVD Boxset (http://www.dvdprostore.com/products/Bones-Seasons-1-4-DVD-Boxset-dvdprostore-1678.html) Maybe it was that dry British wit, The Shield DVD Box Set (http://www.dvdprostore.com/products/The-Shield-Seasons-1-7-DVD-Boxset-DVD-9-dvdprostore-1906.html)or maybe it was because Americans,Criminal Minds DVD Box Set (http://www.dvdprostore.com/products/Criminal-Minds-Seasons-1-4-DVD-Boxset-dvdprostore-1777.html) when introduced to tiny cars on the wrong side of the road, look so damn funny when acting so utterly confused. Maybe it was every London driver,Bones 1-4 DVD Boxset (http://www.dvdprostore.com/products/Bones-Seasons-1-4-DVD-Boxset-dvdprostore-1678.html) frustrated with Booth’s inability to adapt to life on the left side of the road and yelling out “wanker” as they passed (look it up kids) did it.
In any case, I found myself actually enjoying the show.Bones DVD Box Set (http://www.dvdprostore.com/products/Bones-Seasons-1-4-DVD-Boxset-dvdprostore-1678.html) Americans and Brits were stereotyped for all they were worth. Londoners were portrayed as prissy, tea drinking snobs.Bones 1-4 DVD Boxset (http://www.dvdprostore.com/products/Bones-Seasons-1-4-DVD-Boxset-dvdprostore-1678.html) Americans were gun toting, sexually repressed, uncultured cowboys. Criminal Minds DVD Box Set (http://www.dvdprostore.com/products/Criminal-Minds-Seasons-1-4-DVD-Boxset-dvdprostore-1777.html)Call it a case of taking an old gag and just running with it until your legs hurt. Bones Seasons 1-4 DVD Boxset (http://www.dvdprostore.com/products/Bones-Seasons-1-4-DVD-Boxset-dvdprostore-1678.html)Then run with it some more for good measure. The Shield DVD Box Set (http://www.dvdprostore.com/products/The-Shield-Seasons-1-7-DVD-Boxset-DVD-9-dvdprostore-1906.html)Then take a tea break to catch your breath, revel in the obvious pun of needing a gun to feel more like a man, and when you’re rested, run some more. You catch my drift?
In the middle of these old-world vs. Bones Seasons 1-4 DVD Boxset (http://www.dvdprostore.com/products/Bones-Seasons-1-4-DVD-Boxset-dvdprostore-1678.html)new-world wars, there were two murders that needed solving.Criminal Minds DVD Box Set (http://www.dvdprostore.com/products/Criminal-Minds-Seasons-1-4-DVD-Boxset-dvdprostore-1777.html) The special effects used to create the bodies were realistically gruesome.Bones 1-4 DVD Boxset (http://www.dvdprostore.com/products/Bones-Seasons-1-4-DVD-Boxset-dvdprostore-1678.html) There was a water soaked skeleton with hair still attached. Later you get exposed to a charred body with his shoes still on. The Shield DVD Box Set (http://www.dvdprostore.com/products/The-Shield-Seasons-1-7-DVD-Boxset-DVD-9-dvdprostore-1906.html)All in all, pretty disturbing images that were morbidly fun to look at.
The actual solving of the cases,Bones Seasons 1-4 DVD Boxset (http://www.dvdprostore.com/products/Bones-Seasons-1-4-DVD-Boxset-dvdprostore-1678.html) however, was rather boring. I’d rather have better writing.
Speaking of writing, who on Earth decided that a love story back at the lab was a good subplot?
