I have a prolink router. It is connected to 2 computers. One computer has this torrent software and anything can be downloaded from that. But when you download the software in the other computer you can't download anything. It says something about a port not forwarded properly. Can anyone help me out? The other computer is using a port which has been forwarded.

well i think u need to change the port of that software. some other app in the pc is using the port.
Go to options in the torrent client u use and u can change the port. for specific details i need to know about the tool u use to download torrents.
(i guess its utorrent cos most of the port problems are common in it)

I tried downlaoding utorrent and Bitlord...nothing works properly. I even tried forwarding a new port. It even didn't work. I used the same forwarded port as the other computer and then it worked. but that was only because nothing was downloading at the moment on the other pc. Can't I use the same port? and is there a software I can use without this port stuff?

I've not tried this with several computers at once. But it should work if you set different ports for torrents in the two computers you have. Say you have utorrent installed in the computers:
set a port and disable randomizing port at each run. Enable NAT routing and UPnP. Also check if firewalls are not blocking the ports you selected.
next you have to forward both ports with the router, make sure you get the forward ip address correct.
Hope this will help :)

i don't think so..
You need port to Access internet.
specially when you are using P2P you need to keep free the using port
if you interested in Using torrent
i think " BitComet " is the best one to try
check this link & if you like you can try it

Machan... If you are using a Router, then most probably you should do port forwarding properly in order to download from torrents... I also had a nasty time doing tht.. he he... But in your case, things work fine in one of your computers ne... So it means tht it is not the router that causes the problem... It may be ny of the firewalls u use or may be the anti virus program... Just disable them and see if it works.... or go to the firewall settings and make sure u have enabled utorrent (or the s/w u use..) is not blocked.... hope u'll get it done...
