SLT CONNECTION NOT A PROMBLEM. IN SRI LANKA SOMETIMES CANNOT LOG TO TAMILNET.

THIS IS THE REPORT,

UNP protest rally in Hatton draws thousands

[TamilNet, Tuesday, 25 September 2007, 02:30 GMT]
Thousands took part in a protest rally organized by United National Party (UNP) in Hatton on Monday condemning the actions of the current administration. The protestors shouted slogans condemning that the protracted conflict has increased prices of essential items and food, creating economic hardships for the civilian population.

UNP member Renuka Herah, joined by a large number of party supporters, attended the rally.

Over the weekend, the UNP also commenced a publicity campaign Saturday in Negombo Market, and on Sunday in Kurunagala Market, distributing pamphlets that accused the govering coalition for the increase in cost of living.

For one thing I haven't seen an opposition so desperate for power than UNP in Sri Lanka, the other thing, LTTE's policy "my enemy's enemy becomes my friend"
