I have an alcatel phone bought from dialog. Recently I purchased a Mobitel smart 5 prepaid SIM and when I insert this SIM and switch on the phone it prompts for a network key. Can someone help me out here?

The entry allows entering around 17 digits

dude just call to dialog via 0777678678 and try to sort out ur matter..cheers..

Machan yes i'm not much of a phone expert. Just use it only for the basic need. Its actually a friend of mine. We put the new Mobitel SIM and it asked for this network key. I know its a alcatel need to ask him whats the exact number is?

You will have to go any Dialog Branch or Dialog Arcade & proceed your phone.They will unlock the phone free of charge.(The problem is in the late past; every network operaters sold thier phones with network lock & that phone can not use by other networks.now you can unlock it without paying from Dialog Branch)

I am not so sure about calculating codes for alcatel ;) :D
Here is a free software to unlock your Alcatel phone. you must have the serial cable to plug ur phone to PC. i will keep searching for the code calculator if its realy exist :).
