I reside in colombo and in close proximity to their area tower (less than 500m) yet I get only 2G signal. I made a service request, probably they have employed school leavers who can con and bluff as service representative. One fellow is requesting me to do some modification in the modem settings ("set it to dual mode") whereas it is already set as WCDMA Preferred (3G). Another fellow says "try the connection during the night time to see whether you get 3G signal and signal strength is affected by number of users in your area logged in". These id***s know nothing about the Signal Strenght (2G/3G), download speed, FUP or anything regarding technical.

Especially their customer service is very pathetic. Being in Colombo and be able to surf the net only at a transfer rate of below 50kbps (not downloading movies but only viewing pages), I can't even load my Gmail page properly, this is absurd. We make complaint but they never revert back we have to call and each time differernt Id*** answers without giving a proper resolution nor they send their tehnical people to the location either to study the problem or rectify the problem.

I just returned my sim.

My SLT is much faster than Airtel.

im having the same problem, i believe i did not exceed my 12gb limitation in fup.. im gonna complain them!

Mine is 3Gb cap package and it is not even a week since I started to use the sim and the connection. So FUP has no relevance to my connection at all. It is there customer service and technical advice that is pathetic.
