I JUST DOWNLOADED THE FILE WHICH "ALAYA" POSTED AND FOLLOWING ARE MY COMMENTS ON THE BUDGET ! THEY MAY BE IN A BIT OF A HARSH LANGUAGE AT CERTAIN POINTS, BUT THIS BUDGET DESERVES MORE FILTH THAN I CAN UTTER HERE.

MY SENTIMENTS IN POINT FORM

1. THIS GOVERNMENT IS DAMN BROKE AND FINDING ALL THE HOOD WINK WAYS TO TAX US MORE

2. THIS BUDGET GOT NOTHING., ALL MAHINDA MAMA IS SAYING IS FOR US TO "MOVE ON WITH OUR SUFFERING AND SOME MORE BURDENS THROUGH THIS"

4. THIS BUDGET IS JUST A HUGE JOKE !

5. FOR I WILL VOTE AGAINST THIS TO DEFEAT THIS (IF I GET THE CHANCE TO VOTE THAT IS :rolleyes: )


FOLLOWING ARE JUST SIMPLE EXAMPLES TAKEN FROM THIS DOCUMENT ! YOU CAN AGREE OR COUNTER THEM !

BUT REALLY APPRICIATE SOME CONSTRUCTIVE ARGUMENT THAN JUST UTTER FILTH BECAUSE I SAID THIS BUDGET IS A "JOKE" ----CONSIDERING MANY OF YOUR JUST "AHOY" MAHINDA AT ANYTHING WITHOUT REALLY LOOKING INTO IT.


1 . Budget Deficit 1044 compared to 862 previous year !

DAMN !! DAMN !! DAMN !!!

2. It has been proposed to exempt from income tax any foreign earnings in the form of salaries,
allowances or fees paid in respect of services rendered, dividends or interest earned on an
investment which is remitted into Sri Lanka via the banking system


THANK GOD !! THANK YOU !!!!! THANK YOU !!!!


3. With respect to tax holidays commencing on or after 01 April 2008, the period of exemption
to be confined to a maximum period of 3 years. This limitation however will not apply to
“Flagship Companies” (minimum investment of USD 50Mn) of National importance,
concessions offered for regional development and construction of houses/facilities for lower
income groups.


TOTAL FUCK UP !


4. The value of any benefit accruing to an employee of any employer from the issue of shares in
accordance with a “scheme” applicable to all employees will be exempt if the Commissioner
General of Inland Revenue is satisfied that such scheme is reasonable.


LOVELY !!


5. If an employer bears income tax of an employee and thereby pays tax on tax then the
incremental part of the tax on tax will be disallowed in determining the statutory income of the
employer.

GREAT. MORE FUC_ING DEDUCATIONS FROM MY SALARY TO PAY THE FU_KING IDIOT TO BUY ANOTHER ASTON MARTIN


6. Any donation made to the “Api Wenuwen Api” fund shall be treated as a donation made to a
Government fund and same to be claimed as a qualifying payment without any ceiling.

7. A special unit of the Department of Inland Revenue for collection of taxes in default

WELL., THEY ARE NOT HIKING THE FUEL PRICES., THEY ARE JUST ADDING A SMALL 5% RATE CHARGE TAX TO THE BARREL !

AND THEY TAKE US ALL FOR FUC_ING STUPIDS ! ALL YOU PEOPLE JUST "AHOY" THESE FOOLS WITHOUT READING THIS PROPERLY !!

10. New tax exemptions doesn't include anything worth while other than MILK !

11. Stamp duty !

HERE'S THE CATCH, THEY HAVE HIKED THE IMPORT VEHICLE TAX FROM 2.5 TO 5% AND INTRODUCED THE STAMP DUTY FOR THE REGISTRATION AND INSURANCE !

SO AT THE END OF THE DAY., YOU CAN EXPECT THE 1.5 MILLION VEHICLE TO RUN UP TO 2.7 OR 2.9 PRICE MARK WHEN THESE COMES INTO EFFECT !

A MERE MARUTI WILL SIMPLY RUN INTO THE 1.6 MILLION MARK !

GOD SAVE ALL THE "HOPEFULL PEOPLE" WHO WANTS TO BUY A VEHICLE FOR THEM SELVES.

12. Data Processing and Relating Product import charge goes for a 150% hike. Which means buy you damn PC's now., cause when this comes to effect a 50K IT related Item will hit the 75K limit !

13. Port and Airport development Levy

EXCEPT FOR THE STAMP + TAX + IMPORT + BARRAGE OF OTHER TAXES THEY YOU GOING TO JUST CHARGE YOU FOR COMING AND GOING OUT OF THE COUNTRY !

IN TURN ALL THE AIR TICKET PRICES WILL GO UP AND ALL IMPORTED CONTAINER HANDLING CHARGES WILL SKY ROCKET

IN TURN, ALL IMPORTED ITEM PRICES WILL SHOOT THROUGH THE CEILING !

14. Motor Vehicles
Proposal
It is proposed to amend the excise duty on motor vehicles by increasing import license fees.


NEED I SAY MORE?

15. Environment Conservation Levy - Permanent household with a vehicle and a telephone and electricity connections and businesses would be liable.


MOTHERFU_KING BASTARDS ! SO NOW VERY HOME IS TO PAY AN EXTRA FUC_ING 20 BUX FOR THESE FUC_ING BASTARDS !!

WHAT WILL THEY COME UP WITH NEXT ? A TAX FOR TAKING A CRAP?

THIS GOVERNMENT IS DAMN FU_ING BROKE !

16. It is proposed to increase the levy on the importation of motor vehicles by 2.5 and is to come into effect from 01 January 2008.

not exceeding 1600cc. 2.5%
between 1600cc. and 2000cc. 5%
exceeding 2000cc. 7.5%

WELL, AS I SAID ABOVE., THIS IS JUST A FU_KING JOKE ! THIS GOVERNMENT IS SO DAMN BROKE !


17. Cellular Mobile Telephone Subscribers’ Levy

ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF THIS GOVERNMENT IS BROKE !

HERE'S THE CATCH, IF YOU BILL IS 2000.00 .. YOU WILL BE CHARGED THE OPERATOR LEVY + VAT FOR THE OPERATOR LEVEY + VAT FOR THE BILL + CESS FOR THE BILL + NEW TAX WHICH IS 10% !

SO YOUR BILL WILL BE SOMETHING LINE 3000 BUX WHEN YOU GET IT TO YOUR HAND !
