LTTE carry out a claymore attack at a civil bus in Welisara today... A prelude to Oslo talks
LTTE terrorists exploded a claymore mine targeting a civil bus, at a location between Mahabage junction and Welisara naval camp, around 4.00a.m today (06th). Two civilian employees (driver & conductor) of Welisara depot are reportedly injured due to the attack. It has been reported that a bus carrying naval personnel was scheduled to leave at that time.
It is apparent that LTTE's so called political leaders have brought their terrorism with them to Colombo on their "Diplomatic" mission to Norway. The incident gives the paramount example for the barbaric and uncivilized nature of the organization with which the government of Sri Lanka has been striving to negotiate. Whilst the government provides the VIP treatments and security to the LTTE delegation, their leadership shamelessly continue to attack security forces and civilians in the country.
It is understood why the LTTE's "political" head wants to sack SLMM monitors from the EU countries which proscribed the LTTE. The massage is clear, the LTTE leadership wants to continue violence and nobody should disturb him.
Meanwhile, reliable sources suggest that this attack along with other recent attacks is also resulted form the leadership crisis in the LTTE. "LTTE leadership wants to deliberately sabotage the Oslo talks, since he is frustrated with his inability participate for the talks." The sources said. It may sometime be true that LTTE political wing leaders, having understood the realty of the sufferings of the Tamil people; are sincerely want a peaceful and political solution to the conflict. But the terror leader is well aware that the lasting peace would not do anything good for him.
Having being caged in Mulativu jungle for about thirty years, and unable to move freely even in his own territory due the threats posed by the Tamil community itself, it is perfectly natural for the LTTE leadership to feel insecure when his political wing comes to the limelight. But, it is high time for Mr. Prabhakaran to revisit the interests of the organization that he created, if he really wants to survive. He must be able to separate his personal problems for the problems of the Tamil community for which he is supposedly fighting for.
So far, LTTE leadership has been striving to hide in the shield of Tamil lives to avoid the consequences of the mistakes he did, in his personal capacity. Thus, it is evident that Mr. Prabhakaran would continue to do everything possible to stop his worst nightmare come true; the lasting peace to Sri Lanka.
