dont let your ignorance judge the purpose and the contribution even this one hour save can make when many take most of the natural resources in this world for granted, and now paying the price for it big time!.

based on fact
electricity consumption falls a few %
makes no difference

mate you really think those 2 % - 15 % drops are insignificant within an hour?
It says Philippines was able to save 611 MWh... which is abt 611,000,000 Watt hours...
Thats alot if you know how much energy is being saved from it..

you still didnt get it... how can you compare watt hours in an year to an hour in just one day... :dull: the idea of earth hour is to make people realize the value of energy being saved...even a little contribution will be useful, coz we are not in any luxury to waste resources in this world to begin with...understand that first!

my point is the saving is so small
it does not make a real difference

This is just one and a productive move in contributing to save energy....the total energy saved through various other modes including this will surely make an impact...
