The specialists take the side of the assassin doctor

The management of the Negambo hospital are objecting the the minor staffer who says eye witnessed the rape and murder of a young woman by a doctor, signing in attendance registers of the hospital. The specialist doctors are threatening to strike work if she is further employed in the hospital.

The minor staffer L.M. Beatrice gave evidence that she saw the accused doctor dragged the woman on a cardboard in the sixth floor of the hospital from where the victim Chamila Disanayaka fell into death.

The witness Beatrice who identified the suspect at the identification parade is a cleaner of Will Shine cleaning service and she has been working attached to the surgery of the Negambo hospital since six years.

Ms. Beatrice said to Lanka-e-News that she was scolded and threatened by the lady anesthetic doctor of the hospital after she gave evidence and identified the suspect. She has lodged a complain in Negambo hospital in this regard.

She said that when she reported to duty yesterday the work supervisor of Will Shine had told her she would not be employed there since the specialist doctors were getting ready for a strike against her. However she signed in for duty and lodged a complaint under CI45/247 yesterday (11).

She has signed for duty today as well although she was not given work.

Note: Doctors have lots of money and keeping coming. But this innocent woman getting peanuts right now from crapy works. Those doctors are trying to give support to that rapist, killer and the psycho doctor.

Think about this poor lady who is trying to tell the truth and she have to raise kids and need to survive with poverty.

Dear doctors THIS IS NOT RIGHT

This doctor is a serious psychiatric patient (paranoid schizophrenia). We have sack the Professors of the Ragama MedFac for passing him and officials of the SL Medical Council for giving him the registration knowing his medical back ground, and finally sack the minister for giving such a person employement in a clinical setting (he should've been in to a field like medical statistics where he does not come in to contact with patients).

I hope that this time SLMC'll scrap his name out of the registration and get a policy descision not to give registration for people with serious psychiatric illnesses.

No point who ever gives what kind of evidence, the alleged doctor will be release because he's mentally ill and he'll be treated in an asylum for some time. (BTW this guy was a real good person with his surgical skills and has healed thousands of patients before this, and a very nice guy too.)

If a schizophrenic kills me, I'll get nothing in compensation (unless I have a life insuarance). It's just bad luck to get killed by a lunatic. No one will ever talk of may family also. That's how the law sees it, and no cleaning job is needed since the points are crystal clear. The Authorities fucked up every thing by passing him, now they'll have to answer the questions.

Read my post carefully. I'm talking about witness. not about doctorYour post say rapist, killer and psycho. All these three cannot be present at once. Psycho cannot be a rapist or a killer.

Where do you get the information? This case is a kept strictly secret.

And what you are posting is true, that is a serious problem. And police will deal abot it. No need to poke our noses their by trying to create situations. It'll just piss off the Police and the Courts. Belive me, when this kind of up roars are created (true or false) the ones to suffer will be the victim.

(But I don't trust news papers, especially when it comes to reporting about health sector)

Hey WalBada, I wanted to ask you what's this problem Doctors having with Siripala aiya? I really have no idea about this can you give me some insight?I think most of the health sector workers have a problem with him.

The GMOA had problem with him regarding constant criticism by the minister on the doctors without doing anything for the health service. He was making doctors the scapegoat even for the sortage of drugs in the hospitals infron of the public! Providing drugs is up to him! And he's the most corrupt politician in this govenment. There is an audit query of 600 million rupees missing in the ministry. Nothng has happened about the infamous "saline" scandal or that of the "used syriges". The contractors are relatives of the ministers!!

The current "token" strike (which did not happen in peripheries) was for getting a travelling allowance of 5,000-10,000 Rs, which was promised by the ministry 3 years back, depending on the grade.

Once labelled a psyco case, the stigma is there for the life. Usually death is sweeter than hardships which are encountered by a mentallyu ill patient who has recovered (never mind ones still ill!, being in Angoda wards for a day is a good punishment it self)

mona thara thiramaka unath aparada karaya aparada karayamai :frown:Punishments should be given for people who could understand the punishment. That is why the law does not punish children as the adults for the same crime committed. They'll not punish a mentally sub-normal person, gravely ill person who is nearing his death, unconcious patient or a mentally ill patient. All these people cannot understand the reason for punshment as all of them are not in sound mental condition.

You can jump and jump and jump for years, but the SL law works as such. Bad luck!
