COLOMBO, SinhalaNet 2008.01.16 08:24AM] LTTE terrorists have exploded a bomb targeting a public transport bus (CTB bus) that was plying from buttala to okkampitiya this morning at around 7.40 AM. Over 20 Killed in the spot according to the Militory Spokesmen, Brig.Udaya Nanayakkara. According to the available information the bus was transporting a large no of schoolchildren.


The explosion has taken place in the Weliara, 3rd mile post in Okkampitiya (Weli Ara - Helagama) around 7.40 am today (16 January). It is said that more than 50 injured personnel are being rushed to the monaragala hospital and the Buttala hospital.
Unconfirmed sources from Okkampitiya Hospital said at least 20 who injured from the blast, admitted to the hospital
