Florence - Two non-EU nationals were killed in the Santa Maria Novella, near the central station in Florence. The double homicide occurred in Via del Moro. The two victims were Sri Lankan nationals, killed with a knife by a fellow 35-year-old was arrested yesterday by police. The man, an elderly caretaker of Florence, was identified thanks to the numerous testimonies collected after the double murder and fingerprints on the murder weapon: acted in the throes of a strong personal animosity because it was heavily and repeatedly denigrated the two victims: "They called me gay."
The findings of fact to kill the two Sri Lankans yesterday afternoon was a man who struck the first victim to a side with at least three stab wounds. Then he reached the other that perhaps he had tried to defend his friend, at least four blows. All the shots were for vital organs. It seems that shortly before, between the murderer and victim, a fight had broken out inside a shop, a delicatessen and an internet point run by Sinhalese, overlooking Via del Moro in front of which have slumped the two men. Before the arrival of police someone had spread a towel on the bodies.
The intervention of 118 after the double murder murderess, that some witnesses have reported "dark skin," would shy away with the knife still in hand, seems chased by witnesses. The victims are Misantha Narasooriia Kamal, 40, and Sudath Rohana Jayalath Mudiyanselage, 36 years. On the spot, along with police, entrusted with the investigation coordinated by Luigi pm Bud, 118 and municipal police officers, a patrol, serving in Cathedral Square, was alerted to what happened to one of the witnesses who had tried to pursue the murderer. The news spread fast in Sri Lankan communities of Florence in Via del Moro came many Sri Lankans. Some of their victims were both married with one child each, and with a regular residence permit. Mudiyanselage worked as a servant in a villa in Tavarnuzze the outskirts of Florence.
The Sri Lankan arrested murderess has arrested 35 years and is in Italy with a valid permit. His name is Atul Chaminda Kumara Arachchige Hett. For years he made only an elderly caregiver, who had promised that he would have inherited the house after his death, a fact which occurred in November 2009. The promise of the house legacy had aroused envy, as reported on the police, the Sri Lankan community and it seems that the two victims had begun to insinuate that the gift would have happened because Arachchige Hetta had with the 'old a homosexual relationship. The arrested said that the harassment because the military had begun in 2005, when in fact it was common in the foreign community's voice of older people will leave the apartment as a legacy to his caregiver.
The previous attack with the weapon which killed two Sri Lankan nationals is a sharp craft knife found in the house of the murderer, in Fra Bartolomeo in Florence, had inherited a house from an elderly left alone to which the Sinhalese had by caregivers for many years before his death. Already in 2008, an attack with scimitar to his other compatriots, always caused by the same reasons, was arrested. Just this heritage would be the basis of discriminatory items circulated in the foreign community on account of the Sri Lankan arrested, held by fellow recipient of the apartment as a homosexual. In the house the police also found clothing stained with blood.
