how to config windows 2003 server for a sql server

there ar role to be granted to work with windows 2003 server. how would i config 2003 server to operate as database server using sql 2000 server.

in windows2003 install Sql 2000 and update it with SP3a or later.
When you install old SQL it will disable all network libraries. updating to SP3a or later will enable them.
