Details: The airliner landed short of Runway 27L at London-Heathrow Airport after losing power as it was landing. The plane skidded through grass and came to rest on the runway. The left main landing gear smashed through the wing, while the right landing gear was sheared off. All 136 passengers and crew of 16 exited the plane safely through emergency slides. An initial investigation has concluded the engines didn't respond to a demand for an increase in thrust.
