during the last few days im experiencing the following problem.

my internet connection gets stopped wen i open utorrent software. i use a prolink H9000 router and also i have utorrent 1.7.6. but wen i close utorrent around a miniute later my internet connection is back to normal. i use kaspersky as a virus guard but it used to qork fine b 4.

n e one know wats da problem and also n e solutions?????

machang same thing happened to me.i think It's happening because of Virus gard

I think if u add a local port to the application it will work.

tell me the version of the virus gusrd u use and i will tell u how to add a port

im using kaspersky antivirus 7.0.1.321

Ok machchang then open the virus guard

Click on Firewall in the top left panel

Click on filteration rules in the right side area.

Click ADD -> Application and select utorrent (if not listed then browse)

Then click ADD -> Local port

in the bottom area click on the local port (U will see the word underlined)

add a port number (higher than 40000 and below 50000)

click ok for all and at the end close the virus guard window.

go to utorrent and go to Options -> preferences

and click connections in the left side navigation panel

add the port number u have to the firewall to this application

then try again ..... :D :D

thax for da help but i have a small problem!!
my virus guard is not da one with da firewall. it da virus gurad only. and im still having dat problem

use azurus or limewire insted of the bittorrent downloader. & use TORRENT SEARCH ENGINE (http://torrent-finder.com/)
to find torrents.....

then disable the guard and dld. works wit me.

utorrent 1.7.6 have several bugs that need to be solved...and is not compatible with several Security software like Kaspersky and Nod 32 i urge u to use the version 1.6.1...and yes adding 1.7.6 to the exceptios list can fix this problem but 1.7.6 have very slow download speeds
