A card ripped into pieces is touched together in slow motion and reforms, right there in front of everyone in full view. No sticky stuff, just creative and amazing illusionary card magic.
I am really impatient and have average finger dexterity, and I can do this one. Granted it took a month of practice to perfect the whole act, but it is truly worthwhile.

What can I add to that presentation? This is the dvd to watch if you take even just a passing interest in how to perform close card magic. The focus is split between techniques and presentation, the latter being the most important element to entertaining with magic illusions.
Very suitable for a complete beginner, and certainly worth viewing by the more advanced just for the variety of delivery styles on offer for the classic routines.

Jay Sankey is a brilliant magic tutor. I am cack-handed, and impatient at the best of times, but the opening half-hour of this dvd had me performing really impressive coin tricks by the time my housemates got home from work.
The guy is a tongue-in-cheek presenter who cuts right to the chase and explains everything in a straightforward, generous manner. You will literally be reaching for coins in the first three minutes to copy what you are seeing, and be amazed at how fast the basic tricks can be perfected.
He goes into using misdirection and encourages irreverent banter as you perform, all of which he demonstrates himself as you progress through the routines. Some you'll pick up immediately, others you'll end up practicing for months to perfect the subtleties.
