Can anyone suggest me a DDr2 800Mhz Ram card model that can give better performance in gaming and application running ? it should be better than KVR ;)
Im hoping to sell ma 667 kvr 2 Gb and switch to any other good 3GB kit.

As I know there are no 3GB kits for PC!
OCZ DDR2 PC2-6400 Reaper (HPC Edition) is good I heard!
Crucial Ballistix also not bad! But first what's your budget?

Performance Ram is expensive macho....Sometimes more than double!

You really think so? How about getting 667MHz KVR to 900MHz+? I'd say THAT is impressive!
But suit yourself. :D

wt about the cpu clock then?

You don't see a noticeable performance difference using low latency RAM. Only thing you can "see" is be able to overclock your CPU higher, because the "High performance" RAM are supposed to be able to run at high frequencies (but, you have to lower the timings)

what is the V, n is it really stable?

it depends on the multiplier. at 900MHz DDR2, you are running at FSB1800 (450x4) Put a E6420 there, and that's a 3.6GHz! Put a E6600 there, and it is a 4.05GHz. See? There is no point going for low latency (aka high performance) RAM. A CPU upgrade is always MORE (FARRRRR MORE) beneficial.

gayannr is running his 667Mhz's at 4,5,4,12 (remember they are supposed to run at 5,5,5,15 even at 667MHz) at over 900MHz (960MHz if I'm not mistaken) at 1.8V (stock) voltage! You might not be so lucky...but you get the point, right?
Stable? You think we run them out of stable? I can't run them that fast because the stupid Northbridge is acting funny after putting 4 sticks of 1GB RAM in the slots :(.....NEVER BUY 4 sticks. Even if you want 4GB RAM, go for 2GBx2!!!)

I oced my Pentium D 3.4 to 4.1** GHz with 940FSB with KVR 667Mhz
(def 5 5 5 15 20) 3 3 3 9 12 I gave 0.2 V more to ram n that is 2.0 V
I was afraid , n my cpu temp raise by abt 2 C , Bt still can clock more i think

I tried to give 1000FSB n the system didnt boot, any suggestions?

3,3,3?! Are you nuts? Even the ultra low latency RAM's can't take 4,4,4,12 at 900MHz+! (this is sometimes at 2.4V!)

not :baffled: @ 900MHz @ 667 , yeah some times @ that , i was moving it here n there
hw ever i set it to default , current psecs are more than enough for gaming :D
Bt still wanna oc n see
