Is there any way which we could get connected to Internet via a mobile phone?

No, I didn't mean GPRS here. What I want to know is that is there any way which we could use the mobile phone as an interface for the PC to get connected to the net.

I got this crazy idea when i installed a bluetooth device into the pc. then there was a new connection named 'Bluetooth Dial Up Network connection' automatically created in network connections folder. and also there was a bluetooth DUN modem & a bluetooth fax modem dirvers installed into the system.

will I be able to connect my phone to the pc via bluetooth and then go online using it? if so, then what should the ISP be. can I use any ISP available in srilanka? how fast the speed would be be?

I don't think its cheap, even if you managed to get some sort of connection you may be charged with the outgoing charge of your mobile service provider + charge for your ISP and your speed will be the usual dial up speed connection.

I don't know how it's done. but U only can access mobile websites

Accessing internet via GPRS will cost you a fortune!.....And getting a W-Fi router and a W-Fi enable phone will also cost a fortune!......Wait till Airtell arrives!....When i was in India i used Airtell they have a package..Its only 100(Indian RS) per week and you get ~20kbps bandwidth.....via GPRS on mobile

u can visit any site;u can connect using ur phone's gprs modem by dialling *99# on dialup connections,select ur phone as modem,

i'm using a slot10 gprs modem and can download about ~4-5kbps,
machan but this will cost u a lot,just use ADSL,it's the cheapest
