Hi! Ek Members . . . I sing up EK above long time ago but i didn't have a internet conn so far i did only read your threads . . . But now i got a conn . . Start to create threads . . So this is the my first thread in EK . :D :D :D

Okkk . . . Now I'm Going to help those guys who trying to Create PayPal Account Using Sampath Web Card.

If this you already know or re-post please forgive me & I must specially mention that "I Will Not Guarantee" if there are anything going wrong but this source is clear.


Step By Step Instructions are given below :

Who are volunteers : Every On above age 18

Starting Values : Rs.2500 / Rs.5000 / Rs.7500 / Rs.10000

Cost For The Card
Sampath Bank Account Holders : Rs.100/=
Others : Rs.200/=

Expiration : After 2 years card active

Fully Cost For Card With Minimum Credit
Sampath Bank Account Holders : Rs.2600/=
Others : Rs.2700/=

Top Up : Which you want

Availability : Any web site that accept PayPal

Credit Balance : Call to Sampath Card Center
011-2300604 & Give Your ID & Ask For Balance



You Have To Follow These Steps To Connect Your Card To PayPal

1.) Go to the http://www.PayPal.com & Create a PayPal (It's Free So No Probs)

2.) Click the "My Account" --> "Profile" --> "Add/Edit Credit Card"

3.) Then Click "Add Card"

4.) Now you will see a form & fill it
First Name : Give your real first name
Last Name : This you can't change
Select Card Type : Visa (Sampath Web Card Is A Visa Card)
Card Number : Enter The 16 Pin Code Appear On Side Of Your Card. (Do not let hash or spaces)
Expiration Date : This date mention as VALID THRU on your Card. Enter that year & month
Card Verification Number : Enter Your 3 Pin Code (Password)
Billing Address : Select Your PayPal Account address or Enter a new address

5.)After complete above steps click "Add Card" button

(If their appear Error message that means your Sampath Web Card still didn't activate)

(If their is no error message PayPal already accept your Web Card as a valid card.)

Almost done . . . . . .

6.) Then will appear window like this.. Click "Save &
Continue" (Firstly PayPal debit $1.95 from your account credit for their account but this credit give you back definitely after you done successfully)

7.) Then you will see what are you already done & what will have to do. In this moment they say "Check your bank sheet & enter PayPal Code"

8.) But our Sampath Web-card has not supply a print sheet... So you will have to call to Card Center 011-2300604 & ask for Web-card PayPal Code . . . After that they will ask for Web-card pin number. (16 number).

9.) Then you will receive The PayPal Code & Enter it in PayPal Code entering area.

10.) Read details & instructions carefully then click clearly "Submit" button...

11.) After that if you will see that your Web-card has been accepted by PayPal now you can pay amount as you wish.

Sorry Guys ! For a now i only know these information but if i got more info about this i will update this soon as i can.


how much time it will take to confirm this web card.coz i got a acct @sampath. and i wnt 2 knw if they r giving this actual card (plastic) mentioning this card number.


As i know Sampath Bank take 1 to 2 weeks to activate the Web-Card.

Steps for get Web-Card

Firstly you have to fill a form that request a Sampath Web-Card & handover it with money.

To receive the Web-Card there are two method.

1.) You can get Card to your home address.
(will take 2 weeks to receive)

2.) Otherwise you can get through Bank Branch.
(take only one week to receive)

The easy & better way is method 2.) because it's fastest ;

After short period you'll receive a letter from Sampath Bank Card Center & In this letter you have to put your signature & then hand over that letter to your Sampath Bank Branch & get the Web-Card. . .

After you got the Web-Card you have to wait 1 or 2 weeks because your Sampath Bank Branch will must resent your letter to Sampath Card Center...

As soon as the Card Center got your letter they will active your Web-Card . . .

Ek Members As i know ATM Visa Card can't use in internet... It's for the Automatic Taller Machine Use Only . . .
If there is way to connect other cards (Without ATM Card) to PayPal i will looking for it then i will update . . .

In Srilanka whatever bank & PayPal must have serve facilities for the debit card connect to PayPal but as i knew any of one bank in Srilanka & the PayPal didn't serve this kind of facilities . . .

but USA debit cards allow for the PayPal because USA's banks & PayPal have serve those facilities . . . but not in most of other countries.

If you mean VCC as Visa Credit Card yes you can add visa card to PayPal but you better to look for not leaked your Visa Card information so better way is use a Sampath Web-Card if you leaked info of Web-Card you'll lost some of your money. The Sampath Web-Card is the Easy / Better / Secure way to internet money transferring in the present.

I have already mention that on my thread first page. As my knowledge after you create PayPal account with a address... You can use another address for billing address. There is no probs..

but machan which address you used i think they detect you as a Srilankan & as i know Srilankan PayPal Accountas are still not allow for receive money . . . . .

They going to launch Guest Payments service, a service that will accept credit card payments without requiring the buyer to have a PayPal account.

Sorry Bro ! I haven't much info about "NSB Net Card" If you have a NSB Net Card please check On Card have mention that "Electronic Use Only" (ATM Card) it's mean those cards can't use for Internet Money Transactions.
As i heard it's a shopping card.....

Well, i got the 4-digit code from sampath bank, and entered it under credit cards section by clicking on verify card (or something) ...

it said paypal cannot verify the card now .... and to try later. Now the verify link is gone. Only edit and remove card is there. Still the balance is zero.

My brother's be aware online payment can be made via sampath internet card - just a reload system of Rs.2500 / Rs.5000 / Rs.7500 / Rs.10000

Via Paypal you can't withdraw or credit money to your sampath account internet card simple as that - if I am wrong kindly correct me

But you can purchase via Paypal online.

Guys don't use this card. If you use this you will have to face lot of troubles future. They didn't even provide us any bank statement, We don't know our acc. remaining balance and they deduct interest without prior notification us. My only advise is use HNB international Debit card.

What you have to do is go to a HNB branch any where and open a saving acc. Then you will received International debit card. Use that in any HNB ATM before international transactions. Then call HNB card center mentioned tel. no. back side of the card. Then ask then to activate the card for the international transactions. They will activate it maximum one year after the one year again you can activate it. Try this don't wast money for stupid web cards.
