How do you have your carburetor on your bike configured? Petrol Closed or Open?
Did you know...
1. Running with petrol closed causes higher engine temperatures... and speeds up engine wear, its like "iguru dee miris gaththa wage wadak"
2. High muffler (siliencer) temperatures mean that there is more the chance of actually burning your leg on a small touch.
3. Wears down battery for self-start because you will end up starting the bike more and more when the engine gets cold.
4. Causes oil seals to wear out due to high temperature actually Harding them and they lose their steal
5. High vibration, you will see notice that the vibration of the handle is higher when you have petrol closed... I've noticed my hands vibrating even after stopping engine....
6. Motor bike mechanics will want to close petrol because it improves the chance of engine failure...
7. Major stalling during rain and floods... I've ridden my Safari 4S in 2.5 feet of water because I had petrol open
Petrol keeps the engine cool.... you close petrol.... you are pushing your engine to its limit!
Happy Riding everyone :D
