►Windows Installation-

මේක නම් ගොඩක් අය දන්නවා, එහෙත් වරදවාගන්න තැන් කිහිපයක් තියෙනවා..

හැම විටම අළුතෙන් windows දානවනම් තමන්ගේ data backup කරගන්න. Windows Xp users අනිවාර්යයෙන් drivers වල backup එකක් ගන්න. Format කරනවිට NTFS file type එක තෝරාගන්න එක හොඳයි. Windows 7 වලදීනම් ඔය ප්‍රශ්නය එන්නේ නෑ..


►Preparing to build your own PC-

හොඳට ඉඩ තියෙන තැනක් තෝරාගන්න. මල් සහ flat ඉස්කුරුප්පු නියන් සූදානම් කරගන්න. ඒවා ස්ථ්ති විද්‍යුතයෙන් තොර බවට සහතික කරගන්න. විදුලිය ලබාගතහැකි ස්ථානයක් සූදානම් කරගන්න.


►Preparing the PC Case-

දැන් ගොඩක් වෙලාවට casing එකේම Power supply unit එක තියෙනවා. එහෙත් ඔබට එසේ නොමැතිවද මිලදී ගන්න පුළුවන්, එවිට PSU අපි සවිකරගත යුතුයි. එවිට මෙහි ඇති ලෙස එක සවිකරගන්න.

►Fitting the Motherboard-

මෙය එන්නේ අළුපාට බෑගයක එය ස්ථ්ති විද්‍යුතයෙන් ආරක්ෂාවීමට සකස්කර තිබෙනවා. අවශ්‍යවන තෙක් බෑගයෙන් ඉවත් කරන්න එපා. motherboard එක සමඟ විවිධ cables ලබාදෙනව, ඒවා IDE හා SATA cables, මේවා cd drives, hard drives සවිකිරීම යොදාගන්නව. තව පොඩි තහඩු කෑල්ලක් තියෙනව ports වලට ගැලපෙන. ඒක IO Shield කියල හඳුන්වනවා.

casing එකේ තිබෙන මුදු වගේ ඇණ වලට තමයි motherboard එක සවිවෙන්නේ. සවිකරන විට ports තිබෙන පැත්ත පිටුපසට සිටින ලෙසත් පහළ casing එකේ නොගෑවෙන ලෙසත් සවිකරන්න.

►Attaching the Motherbaord's power Cables-

motherboard සහ CPU එකට power සම්භන්ද කිරීම මෙහිදී සිදුවනවා. Power unit සිට එන cable එන pin 20 cable එක motherboard එකට සවිකරන්න.

►Fitting the CPU-

CPU කියන්නේ prosseor එක. දැන් පවතින්නේ socket-type CPU.

පරික්ෂාකරන්න motherboard එකට ගැලපෙන CPU එකක් ඔබ පාවිච්චි කරනවාද කියලා. CPU එකේ ඇති සියුම් pins ගැනද වඩාත් ප්‍රවේසම්වන්න, pin හානිවීම නිසා CPU එක ක්‍රියාවිරහිත වන්න පුළුවන්.

CPU එක සවිකල පසු තාපය සන්නයනය සඳහා තාප සන්නායක ආලේපයක් CPU එක මතුපිට 3mm පමණ තවරන්න. මෙය CPU එකෙන් උපදින තාපය, තාප සන්නයන තහඩුවට ගමන්කිරීම පහසුකරනවා.

සවිකල පසු එහි ඇති ලිවරය පහත් කිරීමෙන් හොඳින් සවිවූබව සහතික කරගන්න.

පසුව cooling fan/cooler එක සවිකරන්න, මෙය CPU එක උඩින් සවිවීම සිදුවනවා.

►Fitting the Drives-

Floppy drives නම් දැන් භාවිතයේ නෑ, පරණ IDE, DVDROM/CDROM ඒවානම් තියෙනවා, එහි පසුපස ports motherboard එකට සම්භන්ද කරන්න.

මෙහි audio connector, IDE cable ඒක motherboard එකටත් powerconnector එක powersupply එකටත් සවිකරන්න. jumper pins සවිකරන ආකාරය drive එකේ සඳහන් වෙනවා.

අළුත් SATA drives වලනම් power cable එකයි sata cable පමණයි තියෙන්නේ.casing එකට සවිකර ඇණමඟින් තද කරන්න.

►Connecting the PC Case Front Panel and external cards-

ටිකක් අමාරු කටයුත්ත මේක තමයි. motherboard එකෙන් casing එකට cable කිහිපයක් සම්භන්ද වෙනවා. තව අපි වෙනම මිලට ගත් video card හා modem ආදියද සම්භන්ධ වෙනවා.


Installing the Graphics Card:

onboard VGA ගොඩක් වෙලාවට තිබුනත් අපි games වගේ දේවල්නිසා වෙනම VGA එකක් ගන්නවානේ. සාමාන්‍යයෙන් VGA සවිවන්නේ AGP හෝ PCI port එකකට. අළුත් එකක් නම් PCI තමා

PCI Modem Card:

මොඩම් භාවිතය නම් දැන් අඩුයි. එහෙත් network card භාවිතාවනවා, එයත් මෙම ආකාරයටම සවිකරන්න පුළුවන්. මෙය සවිවන්නේ PCI port එකට

Case Cable Connections:

mothboard එකෙන් casing එකට එහි LED වලට හා speaker එකට cable සවිවනවා. මෙය ටිකක් පරිස්සමින් manual එකේ සඳහන් ලෙස කරන්න.

Installing the Memory:

RAM card දැන් භාවිතාවන්නේ DDR2, DDR3. මෙය cards දෙකක් හෝ තුනක් වුවත් සවිකරන්න පුළුවන්. slot එකට තබා දෙපැත්තෙන් තදකළවිට ටික් ශබ්දයක් සමඟ මෙය සවිවනවා.

දැන් ඔබ සූදානම්, power ලබාදී ඔබ කැමති operating system එකක් install කරගන්න.

ඔබට තවත් යමක් දැන ගැනීමට අවශ්‍යනම් මෙහි විමසන්න, ඒවා රූප සටහන් සමඟ පැහැදිලි කරන්න මම බලාපොරොත්තු වෙනවා.

Windows XP installation

►මුලින්ම බලන්න පරිඝණකයේ අවම සුදුසුකම් තියෙනවද කියලා,

Pentium 233 MHz
64 MB of RAM

කලින් මෙහි වෙනත් පද්ධතියක් තිබුනානම් එහි ඔබට අවශ්‍යය දත්ත backup කරගන්න.

පසුව computer එක restart කරලා setup වලට ගිහින් boot from CD/DVD සකස්කරන්න.

නැවත windows cd/dvd එක දමා restart කරන්න. තැටියේ පළුඳු නැති බවට සහතික කරගන්න.


►restart වීමේදී මෙම පනිවිඩය තිරයේ දිස්වෙයි..

Press any key to boot the CD, එවිට කැමති එකක් ඔබන්න.

මෙහිදී Automated System Recovery (ASR) tool ක්‍රියාත්මක කිරීමට විමසීම මඟහරින්න.

මෙහි විධාන තුනක් පවතී
1.මෙමඟින් අළුත් windows copy එකක් පරිගනකයේ පිහිටුවයි.

2.පැවති පැරණි windows වල දෝෂයක් නැති කිරීම කළහැක.(පසුව විමසා බලමු)

3.setup වලින් ඉවත්වේ.


►Licence agreement-

පළමු විධානය තෝරාගත්විට මෙම Licence agreement පිටුව ලැබේ.

අපි මෙම පද්ධතිය භාවිතාකිරීමේදී පිළිපැදිය යුතු නීති මෙහි අඩංගුවේ. එයට ඔබ එකඟවීම අවශ්‍යය වේ. නැතිනම් ඊළඟ අදියරට යා නොහැක.
එයට එකඟවීමට F8 ඔබන්න.

මේක ඔබට දකින්න ලැබෙන එකක් නෑ, නියම original windows වලදී පමණයි. මෙය දකින්න පුළුවන්.
මෙහිදී නවතම සංස්කරණයට upgrade වීම සිදුවනවා, Internet හෝ ව්ශේෂ තැටියක් තිබෙන්නත් ඕනා.


►Choose an installation partition-

windows install කරන ස්ථානය තෝරාගැනීම මෙහිදී සිදුවනවා. අපගේ හාඩ්ඩිස්කය කොටස් කිරීම හෙවත් partition කිරීමද කරන්නේ මෙම පියවරේ.
විධාන 3ක් පවතිනවා,
නව partition එකක් කිරීමට C, මෙහිදී පවතින ඩිස්කයෙන් කැඩිය යුතු කොටස අපෙන් විමසනවා. එය MB වලින් හෝ ප්‍රතිශතයක් ලෙස දක්වන්න අවශ්‍යයි.

මෙහිදී ඩිස්කයේ සියලුම දත්ත මැකීයනවා, එබැවින් මෙය හොඳින් සිතාබලා කරන්න.


►File system-


අපි සාමාන්‍යයෙන් භාවිතා කරන්නේ, FAT32, NTFS මෙයින් NTFS වඩාත් නවීන හා ආරක්ෂාකාරී ක්‍රමයයි. මෙම පියවරේදී ඔබ සකස් කළ partitions කැමති file system එකකින් format කිරීම සිදුකරන්න පුළුවන්.
Quick format යොදාගැනීම ප්‍රමාණවත්.
නැවත windows පිහිටුවීමට අවශ්‍යය partition එක තෝරන්න, එයද format කරන්න.

►Coping files-

format වී අවසන් වූ පසු තැටියෙන් අවශ්‍යය files, copy වීමක් සිදුවනවා. මෙය මිනිත්තු කිහිපයක් ගතවනවා.

►GUI installation-

restart වීමේදී නැවත boot කිරීමට ඇසීම මඟහරින්න.
මෙම රූපයේ ලෙස තිරය දක්නට ලැබෙනවා, ටික වේලාවක් installing windows යන්න පවතිනවා.

Product key:අපහට ලැබුන serial number එක. සමහර cracked version වල මෙය auto fill වෙනවා, serice pack 3 වලදී මෙය නැතිව අපිට ඉදිරියට යන්න පුළුවන්. පසුව එය crack කිරීම සිදුකල යුතුය.

දෙකේ ම එකම Micro-architecture එක (Core 2) තියෙන්නේ. ලොකු වෙනසක් නැහැ.

1. Dual Core Processors ගොඩක Clock Speed එක අඩුයි. ඒක ගොඩක් දුරට Marketing වලට කරන දෙයක්, Processor එකට ඊට වඩා speed යන්න බැරි හින්ද නෙමෙයි. මේක පේන්නේ Dual Core Processors over-clock කරන්න ගොඩක් ලේසි වීමෙන්.

2. Core 2 Duo Processors එකේ Cache Memory වැඩී. සාමාන්‍යයෙන් Core 2 එකක 2MB, 4MB වගේ ආවොත් Dual Core වල එන්නේ 1MB විතර.

3. සමහර Technologies (Ex - Virtualization) disable කරල එන්නේ Dual Core වල.


Dual Core කියන්නේ අඩු මිල Processor එකක් අවශ්‍ය කට්ටියට Core 2 එකේ Features ටිකක් අඩු කරලා හදපු එකක්. යට තියෙන Architecture එකේ ලොකු වෙනසක් නැහැ.

ඔය මොකක් කිව්වත් core 2 duo එකෙයි dual core එකෙයි performance එකේ ලොකු වෙනසක් තියෙනවා නේ. ඉතින් ඔය මොනවා කරත් අන්තිමට ගෙවන ගානට තමයි item ලැබෙන්නේ

මගේ post එකේ කොතනකවත් මම කියල තියෙනව ද Core 2 එකේ performance වැඩි නැහැ කියලා. :rolleyes:

Processors දෙකේ වෙනස මොකක්ද කියලා ඇහුවම ඔනෙම කෙනෙක් ට කියන්න පුලුවන් Core 2 එකේ performance වැඩියි Dual Core එකේ අඩුයි කියලා. ඒකට හේතු තමයි මම දීලා තියෙන්නේ.

Dual Core එකක් උපරිමට ම overclock කරල ගත්තොත් Core 2 එකට ගේමක් දෙන්න පුලුවන් වෙයි. :D

ආහ් Core 2 එක හොඳයි ඒක ගනන් වැඩිත් ඒකනේ කියනවාට වඩා තර්කානුකූල උත්තරයක් තමා මම දෙන්න හැදුවේ.

RAM, VGA වල usage එක වැඩිවන නිසා තරමක වෙනසක් තියෙනවා.
heat එකත් ටිකක් වැඩිවෙනවා.
අලුත් VGA cards වලත් මේක තියෙනවා.

මේක නම් ගොඩක් අය දන්නවා, එහෙත් වරදවාගන්න තැන් කිහිපයක් තියෙනවා..

හැම විටම අළුතෙන් windows දානවනම් තමන්ගේ data backup කරගන්න. Windows Xp users අනිවාර්යයෙන් drivers වල backup එකක් ගන්න. Format කරනවිට NTFS file type එක තෝරාගන්න එක හොඳයි. Windows 7 වලදීනම් ඔය ප්‍රශ්නය එන්නේ නෑ..


►Preparing to build your own PC-

හොඳට ඉඩ තියෙන තැනක් තෝරාගන්න. මල් සහ flat ඉස්කුරුප්පු නියන් සූදානම් කරගන්න. ඒවා ස්ථ්ති විද්‍යුතයෙන් තොර බවට සහතික කරගන්න. විදුලිය ලබාගතහැකි ස්ථානයක් සූදානම් කරගන්න.

Floppy drives නම් දැන් භාවිතයේ නෑ, පරණ IDE, DVDROM/CDROM ඒවානම් තියෙනවා, එහි පසුපස ports motherboard එකට සම්භන්ද කරන්න.

දෙකේ ම එකම Micro-architecture එක (Core 2) තියෙන්නේ. ලොකු වෙනසක් නැහැ.

1. Dual Core Processors ගොඩක Clock Speed එක අඩුයි. ඒක ගොඩක් දුරට Marketing වලට කරන දෙයක්, Processor එකට ඊට වඩා speed යන්න බැරි හින්ද නෙමෙයි. මේක පේන්නේ Dual Core Processors over-clock කරන්න ගොඩක් ලේසි වීමෙන්.

2. Core 2 Duo Processors එකේ Cache Memory වැඩී. සාමාන්‍යයෙන් Core 2 එකක 2MB, 4MB වගේ ආවොත් Dual Core වල එන්නේ 1MB විතර.

3. සමහර Technologies (Ex - Virtualization) disable කරල එන්නේ Dual Core වල.


Dual Core කියන්නේ අඩු මිල Processor එකක් අවශ්‍ය කට්ටියට Core 2 එකේ Features ටිකක් අඩු කරලා හදපු එකක්. යට තියෙන Architecture එකේ ලොකු වෙනසක් නැහැ.
