A Sri Lankan mother allegedly flung her month-old infant to death from the sixth floor of a children’s hospital here, police said Saturday. Police Inspector S. Wijesena said the mother is suspected to have thrown the baby to the second floor roof of the Colombo Lady Ridgeway Hospital where the body was found by policemen Friday.
Hospital sources said the infant and his mother had been ransferred from a hospital in Anuradhapura province.
