From time immemorial, true leaders set a precedence to their followers by practising what they preached. Contributing to safeguard the country is considered a privilege, and a noble task. But only parents of those who live in the periphery braved to send their children to serve the security forces during critical times like today, when the country sought such true sons of the soil. Notwithstanding many prospects in line as the second son of the first citizen of Sri Lanka, Yoshitha Rajapaksa passed the preliminary interview to join the Sri Lanka Navy yesterday.
