I did this because i dont like Nokia 1110 Defalt boring green backlight monochrome screen

Another guy also did the same like me. He also put some nice step by step instructions.

as i know, we can use 1110 for this. and 1600 color display and 1600 firmware.

Yes it must be totaly possible. Coz all of those Nokia 1XXX Series Ultra Basic Phones r pretty much the same.

Well guys as i know you also need a colour display to replace with the 1XXX display. So its not just black and white display turn colour with software flash and screwdriver :P You need to buy a colour display too.

Yes. I bought my phone one year back for 4200/=. And now i dont like its bloody boring green display. So nokia 1600 colour screen cost me 700/=.

So now what is the best choise for me

Buying a new colour nokia phone for 4000/=

OR

Buying a colour dispay for 700/=

And actually i dont want colours. I just need to change that damn boring green colour.

So 700/= display is ok for me.
