at a glance both the pics seem to be triangles.but the truth is that taken as a whole none of them are triangles.(just consider comparing the tangents of the smallest angles of the red and green triangles.they are not of the same value.If the multicolour parts form a triangle these angles must be the same)
so that the blank space comes from nowhere:P
