Fact: 11.50 -(vat) = Rs. 10.00
Fact: 10.00 - 2.30 (charge for normal sms) = Rs. 7.70
Fact: actual cost per sms = Rs. 0.50 (or less)
Then Profit : Rs. 7.20!!

Total gross income in netting a 7788 (single) event (eg: Sirasa Super Star)
Rs. 7.2 x 1,000,000 = Rs. 7,200,000.00!!!

Now imagine... Sirasa Super Star running for more than six months and people voting for different singers!!

Now (finally, after all the glamour) What did Sirasa Super Stars did for you?

Hi people,

i want to add something to this.Dialog GSM is not own by Dr.Hance.Dr.Hance is the CEO of Dialog GSM.MTN NETWORKS (Pvt) Ltd.It was with a partnership with Maharaja & Malaysia Telecomm until 1996.But after Maharaja left Dialog,it was 100% owned by Malaysia Telecomm.some body has put a comment about the cost for a sms for dialog company.he says thats Rs.0.50.But the truth is Its Rs.0.00.For Dialog company they wont lose a cent for the sms which goes through there own Server.There network is caperble of doing that.That is The truth.

But if you take Suntel & Lankabell who also did this sms voting system for last year( Suntel) & This year (Lankabell) charging only for a nomal local sms.

Dialog did spons the superstar.they can only have this sms facility to get some benifit out of it.

what i think is Sirasa have a wonderful marketing team.this super star is not any thing else.its a marketing tool.But they did it very well.

On the otherhand,There were some poor people got a chance to start a new life with super star.e.g. Ajith Bandara,Manjula from Polonnaruwa.

Any how,Please note that dialog is not the company name.that is there product name.Company name is MTN NETWORKES (PVT) LTD.

Bery bad Dialog.you should have charge Rs.5.00 for this.
