As Snoop Dogg (real name Calvin Broadus) was leaving the NBC headquarters, where he took part at a taping of Jay Leno's 'The Tonight Show', police cars surrounded his vehicle and his
posse in a search that blocked traffic for hours, media reports inform.
The police search turned up marijuana, cocaine, a firearm and a false compartment in his car, probably meant to conceal it. After it was finalized, the officers cuffed the rapper and two other men, whose identities haven't yet been made public, and took them downtown.
They were taken to the Burbank Police Department, where bail was set at $60,000 for each felon. All three men are now facing charges of possession of illegal drugs and intention to distribute them and of a loaded firearm. No court date has yet been scheduled.
This is the third time the rapper is arrested in as many months. In October, he was detained at the Burbank airport after police found marijuana and a gun in his vehicle. The bail was set at $35,000 and Snoop will have to appear in court on December 12 to answer the charges.
Earlier in November, the rapper surrended to the California police after he was charged with possession of a deadly weapon (a collapsible baton) in September. He paid the $150,000 bond and was released immediately.
Snopp Dogg's publicist refused to comment on his client’s situation, when the media contacted him for comments.
