AMD QuadFX Platform Review at xbitlabs

I'm dissapointed in this however. I wished AMD didn't waste any resources in developing this platform. It's very expensive and very power hungry, but doesn't deliver the performance of an Intel Quad Core QX6700.

i think as u say intel Quad Core QX6700 is better ne,then how is the price comparison between this to,is this AMD 1 expensive then the intel 1.?

The AMD platform is waaaaayyyyy expensive than the Intel platform. Remember you have to have nForce680a chipset which is hell of a lot expensive than an Intel P965 chipset, and the power consumption is soooo high that you need to spend quite a fortune on the power supply too. Don't forget the huge electricity bill.

It is expensive and I don't know why AMD released this, instead of allocating all the resources on their upcoming quad-core CPUs and 65nm.
