The music of Dhoom 2
is just above average and not as good as the prequel
The music of the much awaited Dhoom 2
is half not good as its prequel.
Unlike its predecessor,
all the songs more or less have the
same beats and tempo.
If you like your music really fast and want
to beat the boredom of a traffic jam,
then probably Dhoom:S 2 is more your type.
The first number, Crazy Kiya Re, is a chatpata track,
sung by the queen of Hindi film music,
Sunidhi Chauhan.
Suiting the taste of the Generation Next,
who have forgotten plain Hindi music,
the song has a good dose of English words,
that make it ideal for the clubbing brigade.
My name is Ali, seems a re- run of the song from Dhoom,
where Ali (Uday Chopra) romances Esha Deol, in Dilbara.
Sonu Nigam fulfils his job well, as the voice of crazy Ali,
stuttering in broken English.
Bipasha Basu surprises her fans,
by lending her voice to the song.
Touch Me and Dil Laga Na are both peppy numbers.
The later has bhangra beats that makes you tap your foot to the tune.
The Crazy Remix has some good sound mix
by Bunty Rajput on the Sunidhi Chauhan original.
The last song, Dhoom Again, is a continuation of Dhoom Machale,
from the first movie,
and has the same tune and tempo. But,
most definitely, Vishal Dadlani and Dominique Cerejo,
the singers, are no match to the class hit,
that made Tata Young a rage in India.
Over all, average music. Hope the movie proves to be better
