Hey guys and gals. Just wondering What ur settings are if u r using utorrent as ur torrent downloader. Heres my details

Global Max Upload Rate - 9KBps
Alternate Upload rate when not downloading - OFF
Global Max Download Rate - Unlimited

Global Max Connections - 110
Max num of connected peers per torrent - 100
Num of upload slots per torrent -3

Max num of active torrents - 3
Max num of active downloads- 3

Max download Rate - 52Kbps
Ave downlaod Rate - Betwwen 30 - 40

(changed these setting because Vista RTM was not fast enough because a small number of seeders were connected. Didn't change it after that.)

Ave downlaod Rate - Betwwen 48-50kBps

Don't do that. Keep it as 7-9kBps. Your download will not be slowed down at those speeds. Besides, you have to upload if you want torrents to live for a long time. What if other people will limit their upload speed to 1kBps? Don't be selfish. Upload whenever you can, whatever you can.

And, what I have seen is, if you limit your upload speed, utorrent will also limit the download speeds.

Don't use unlimited either. Don't use more than 13kB even when you are not downloading.
