I'm keeping my speakers near my monitor. In fact, they are touching the monitor. But I don't have any issues.

Should I move mine too, Lich? You are the one who knows about these stuff.

doesnt effect LCD monitors that much. But for CRT monitors its better off to keep all electical and magnetic eqipment away from the monitor. This should solve ur prob

Even though there could be such magnteic field restraints in the subwoofer, the satellite speakers might not have them. I thought it was them which cause the problems.

This (speakers) is not one of my areas of expertise :)
Maybe my ears aren't that sharp. ;)

Why are you confused? I don't know a lot about speakers. But I can learn, but haven't bothered yet.

Ya speakers are most probably not computer speakers thus having a magnetic power which is way beyond the prescribed limits for PC usage.. dnt use it else risk damagin ya harddisk and other electrical components.. suggest ya switch to a computer based speaker system such as Creative, Logitech etc...

There is NO effect in having computer speakers near the monitor.. i ve got one right above my monitor.. on my monitor 2 be exact and dere aint no probs.. itz non-PC speakers which cause this prob due to the magnet..

If ya want a example.. take a magnet and place it on the screen.. ya ll see rainbow colors within dat area...

no no its not frequency its the magnet of the speakers... wt u should do is get a good fat wooden plank and keep it between ur speaker and monitor that shoul do the trick if not dudeu must cover ur speakers
