Same with me, DDRs and a 7600GT. If someone gets a good DDR deal, pls post here! ;)
And for everyone's info, there's a week old 7600GS (512mb, 490/790  ) for sale, If anyone needs one
Anusha
12-09-2006, 07:54 PM
So you are definitely getting the 7600GT?

12-09-2006, 08:28 PM
I was asking because you were already thinking about selling your card
shanX
12-09-2006, 08:50 PM
Yes, that's why am saying, Now am wishing for a 7600GT. Why do you think my card is worth keeping?
Anusha
12-09-2006, 08:55 PM
Yeah, I think it is worth keeping, and start saving for a new one, unless you are going for a 7900GT or higher. 7600GS to 7600GT is not a huge jump. It wouldn't even double the performance. Besides, with overclocking, you can get close to a 7600GT (except the VRAM clock)

Right then... It would be a 8800 or 8600 in 2years. Hah ha...

Right then... It would be a 8800 or 8600 in 2years. Hah ha...
Hehe. But you know, you will have to send someone abroad to buy one of those, even in two years, because the highend video card prices never come down in SL. They will stay as high as they can, and suddenly the product is no longer available for purchase even for that high price. They will bring the next highest end card, and keep the price at around Rs.60k-80k.

My knowledge about speakers are limited, simply because I can't turn them high as I like at home. My mother can't take loud noises. I'm also on a 2.1 speaker set I bought almost 4 years ago.
Do you know if that U3 flash drive supports Vista Readyboost? If it does, I might buy one too.
Anusha

Yeah, yeah. But by the time they are available (for an acceptable price), Geforce 9 will be released. Besides, I'm not looking at nVidia. I'm looking at ATI's upcoming cards, which are supposed to be faster than nVidia's.

Sorry Dont know bout it.Doesn't support for linux distros.when u insert it with protection on to a linux based pc it is not recognized.only the read only partition is active.in win me only the storage works.but if u want your normal data traveller to be like u3,goto www.portableapps.com .There is a load of apps and a kit like u3 for other pen drives.

Man it's coincidence, I'm also facing the same trouble with my mom in switching to a multi channel speaker set, And am using Creative SBS 360 2.1 bought 2-3 years ago. But I like that 4.1. Anyway right now am searching for a Creative Inspire 2.1
However according to the place my pc is located, Its difficult to have more speakers, I should make stands for them or something, no way to wall mount.

I don't want any of the software that comes with it. I need performance. I would format it as soon as I get it (if I get it).

Yeah, I don't have enough space either. But I might buy a new computer table soon, and let dad have this one to keep my old PC.

I can place 2 speakers, even 4 on my table, but you should have surrounds on multi channels right? That's the problem
Anusha
12-09-2006, 10:38 PM
Yeah yeah. When I said I'm getting a new computer table, I meant that it will change the location of it in the room as well. Then I might have some room, but I wouldn't be able to buy one unless I change my room to one in upstairs, which is not possible for a few months or even a couple of years :(

Thas why I say Creative, Creative . You're saying the have no bass, Creative speakers are not much loud and noice, but they produce quality crisp sounds. And notably worth the buck!

1. A 1GB Kingston DDR2-667 memory module
2. ADSL router
First one accomplished - today. The router can wait....
Bought 1GB DDR2-667 Kingston ValueRAM card for Rs.14,500 (yeah, it's expensive, I know) from PC Techonologies in Unity Plaza. Some people are selling them for Rs.15,500 etc. I think this wasn't a bad deal at all.
