There’s no one in sight

It’s so dark; I can barely see the light

I’m finding it hard, to try to escape

I miss my family and all my mates

Can barely feel my heart rate

I’m pinned to the ground

I was just lying there

But then I herd a sound

Sounds like someone is calling out for survivors

I feel so weak and so tired

I have to stay awake

I gave myself a backhand and a shake

This is hurting so much

I yelled back, got no reply

I yelled again and again

Still no reply

Damn I guess this is where I’m going to die

Time sure flies by when you’re dieing

At least I know I died trying

To save someone’s life
