I have been blessed with a good friend
who’s always there for me,
so I never have to pretend,
my feelings she will see.
To know that she will be my friend
no matter what the cost,
our time together that we spend
to us is never lost.
She’s always been a thoughtful friend,
one full of verve and cheer,
for I know that I can depend
upon her through the year.
From her I’ve learned to be a friend,
a friend that she can trust,
for no one else can comprehend
this friendship is a must.
I’m glad to have a special friend
to share my hopes and dreams,
for our two spirits truly blend
despite how hard life seems.
